Review: I was a self paid patient of theirs seeking to have oral/teeth overbite crowding corrective procedures. I was started on invisalign braces. These are the invisible removal options to the more traditional metal braces. You are to wear a series of retainers that are for 22 hours a day 2-3 weeks each slighting rearranging your teeth placement gradually. Everyone's prescription is different. Mines happened to be a set of 22 retainers (which they ordered and kept in a filing closet labeled for each patient) 2-3 weeks each with IPR (tooth shaving) after every 3-4 retainer prompting that I must return to the office before I could receive each next set of 3 trays instead of holding on to all of my retainers at home. I was also told I could not have them all because its there way of ensuring they receive all payment (understandable) and tracking patient progress so that if they can find issues early enough to order revision retainers at no cost mid correctional series. The issue is at my last appointment I had IPR done and was given trays 6, 7, & 8 and told to return for more IPR and trays 9, 10, & 11. After completing tray 7 and starting 8, I called to make an appointment. No answer on a business day during business hours so I left a message on a maiilbox that said "hello you have reached NY fashion braces we are not open at this time...". Two days later the same. After completing tray 8, I called again all day totaling about 25 calls. At this point there was no room on the voice mailbox to leave messages. This prompt me to do a [redacted] search to see if anyone else was having the same issues. On [redacted] several people all within the last 2-3 months were reporting the same issues. One person stated that after many failed attempts they just went over to the location. What they discovered was that the doors were locked the building empty and a sign that stated they were "no longer open for business". I live 4 hours away from this location so I could not verify but based on the other factors I believe that what they reported was in fact true. The voice mail still has the same message, my phone call has still not been returned in over 2 months, and mailbox remains full. I recall back in March 2014 there was much chaos going on in the office and I asked to speak to the [redacted] whom I known because I have been a patient since 2011. She told me that [redacted] had passed away from [redacted] and they were not telling the patients because they did not want people to be in fear about their upcoming procedures. (They had been saying he was teaching at NYU, which I thought was untrue when I heard it in November of 2013 because he use to been the office daily to almost non-existent and they could not even provide a day he or number for him) She said that everything would be okay and that his sons were taking over (both completing dental residency's) so I continued my progression and at my last appointment I paid my final payment of 800.00 zeroing my 3,400.00 balance.Desired Settlement: I have my receipt to prove that I paid 800.00 and have a 0 balance and I can provide bank statements as proof to many of the other payments over the course of time but some payments were in cash however the fact that my final receipt says balance 0 should suffice. I'd like a full refund of 3,400 because I only have tray 1-8/22 and my teeth are back to how they looked pre-treatment so giving me my remaining trays will not help me because they will not fit after 2 months without treatment. Plus the upcoming trays would still need IPR to fit and no orthodontist will take over another patient mid course because without the prescription and chart they will not know what and when I was scheduled for IPR. I now have lost much time and money. I am back to feeling socially uncomfortable due to appearance of my teeth and I still need to find a doctor to re-start my treatment and I was told because I have had so much IPR I will now need the traditional metal braces because they can not do more shaving to the same teeth safely. Costing me even more then before because the 3,400.00 was a back to school student discount and I have already graduated. They also never attempting to keep us informed and they never reached out to us to transfer treatment of give us the equipment and charts to see another Doctor. The whole process was unprofessional chaotic and upsetting. I'm sure [redacted] is turning in his grave with despair. I hope that someone will help me satisfy my request through this method so that I can avoid seeking a lawyer. Thank you.

Review: To Whom It May Concern: I was under the care of the orthodontic doctors at New York Fashion Braces from June 2012 until present. The practice closed without any notice and my invisalign treatment was left incomplete after I paid this company thousands of dollars for my treatment. On August **, 2014 I visited the office to get informed that I could have my records mailed to my address and could continue my treatment at another orthodontic office. No further information was provided, other then [redacted] died and the office is closed. The person in the office provided me with my invisalign trays, however I have no doctor that will follow up with me unless I repay out of pocket. My insurance company paid this company for 24 months of treatment and I paid this company about $ 3,000 for a treatment that was never completed. Furthermore, as part of my treatment plan and payment, at the end of my treatment I was suppose to receive retainers, which I never received since my treatment has not been completed.I believe I need one more year of treatment. It is unfortunate and sad that [redacted] of the practice died, however someone has to be responsible for the time and money that I have invested throughout these two years. Please kindly help me resolve this issue. I am hoping that this company reimburses me for my treatment so that I could continue my treatment at another office. Thank you for your time in this matter.Desired Settlement: Please refund me the amount I paid to New York fashion Braces so that I could continue my service at another orthodontic office.

Review: This orthodontist closed its doors without any prior notice. I have invested 2500 dollars on orthodontic treatment and am in the middle of treatment without anybody to contact to continue this treatment. This is a health issue, as I need my medical records to be able to continue treatment elsewhere.Desired Settlement: I need a refund and my records so that I can find another orthodontist that will complete the work.

Review: My daughter has been going to this dentist business for two years rendering treatment for braces. I have paid them 4000 in cash to provide putting on the braces, maintaining care and treatment and for retainers. Te dentist is also collect insurance money from her fther as well. This business closed and didnt not tell the customers that they were closing because the ownwer passed away and the telephone number they left nobody anwsers and the machine is full. My daughter was in the middle of treatment so now she is stuck with braces and receiving no service provided on them and I am out of $4000. Now I have to find another dentist that is willing to take her case because she was in the middle of treatment and put out more money. I am asking that the Revdex.com find some way I can get at least have more money back to pay for treatment else where.Desired Settlement: I would like half my money back because I am now going to have to pay another dentist to finish the work and provide a retainer.

Review: I made a down payment of over $2,000 to get [redacted] treatment in May of this year. Since then, I have been making further payments upon each visit and I am almost paid in full. I was told I would have the braces for a year.

When I went to go to my appointment today, the office was closed and there was a sign on the door saying "Due to the death of the [redacted], New York fashion braces is permanently closed. For more information, please call ###-###-####"

When I called to leave a message, the mailbox was full. When I called the [redacted] office, there was no answering service. Upon doing further research, [redacted] died in January of this last year. [redacted] That is 6 months BEFORE I started treatment at this office.

I've called the office to see if I can get my records... I have yet to reach anyone. I am in the middle of treatment. I have cement on my teeth for the braces and I don't know what to do as far as getting a hold of my records.Desired Settlement: ONE of the following:

1.) Either a phone call explaining how I can finish my treatment with a records mailed to me.

2.) A reference to another dental office and my records being sent without having to pay another 2,000 to FINISH what was contractually agreed upon.

3.) A full refund.

Review: This orthodontist closed its doors without any prior notice. I have invested 3200 dollars on invisalign orthodontic treatment and am in the middle of treatment without anybody to contact to continue this treatment. This is a health issue, as I need my medical records to be able to continue treatment elsewhere.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the fees for treatment and access to my medical records and the rest of my orthodontic trays to continue treatment elsewhere.

Sincerely,

Review: I am just coming to the end of my [redacted] My final appointment was scheduled for October. I have been calling the business for the past three weeks to discuss the appointment, but it always go to voicemail and the voice mailbox is full so I cannot leave a message. I tried sending a contact request form online, as well. Finally, today I went to the office and there was a note on the door saying "We regret that New York Fashion Braces is permanently closed due to the death of the [redacted], [redacted]. For further information, please call [redacted]." This is the same number I've been calling for weeks. I had already paid in full for the [redacted], which is supposed to cover my retainers and final work on my teeth next month. What's more, there were several orthodontists and a full staff employed there, so the idea that the business fell apart that quickly is bizarre. Additionally, they did not contact their patients about this major issue.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund so that I can finish my treatment elsewhere.
