Review: This company has an ad on [redacted], hiring security guard with no experience necessary. I called them left a message. They returned my call setting up an interview. I was told since I already had the 8hr and 16hr certificate all I needed was the fire and homeland security certificates. All I needed was $80 the day of the interview and that was for the 2 missing certificates and I would be placed at a job by the end of the week. When I went to the interview I paid $90 and was told I needed $150 more. Point being they're actually a school not a hiring security job. I would like my $90 back. They scammed me.Desired Settlement: Want my money back.

Review: I was asked $680 dollars to acquire three certifications and one license to begin working as a licensed security officer but when I did my own research I found that it cost $210 in total to acquire all the certifications and license, I quickly assumed the obvious which is that I was being over priced.Desired Settlement: I would like a complete refund.

Review: This company told me they would provide me with services to obtain my new York state security license but at the end of it had me pay 380 dollars for a fake 8 and 16hr classes from a fake security training school that can't even distribute licenses due to the fact their not certified from the state of new York to offer any type of security classesDesired Settlement: I expect The full 380 dollars I paid in cash with returned

Review: I was given false informations regarding a paid application for my security license. Called within a month and I was told that my application was sent and was not sent. Was not informed about being able to work with my certificate in the last 3 months after completing my 8-16 hour classes. When I called, the [redacted] is not speaking to me in a professional manner and tone. I have called many times to NY Security about the status of my application and was informed that my application was sent and it will arrive with my I.D number within "1 week" and when I would call to find out the status of my I.D number they would put me on hold and hang up. Still currently waiting for my I.D number and license. It's been a month and a week and a half.Desired Settlement: Get my security license right away when it was told to be and a job.

Paid to ny security.they then told me on september *,2014 I would be sent for fingerprinting.they also stated they had jobs for me startimg at 13.00 an hour. With their job placement.a sighn hangs in their office stating you will have a better chance getting a job with ypur license, due to my work schedule I wasnt able to take off and attend this bogus job placement so I tried contacting them fourteen times by phone

Voicemails full since july, went to office several times wasnt able to accomplish anything I want a full refund, mysteriously after my last attempt in person, that followimg monday someone called me telling me to bring in 80.00 to register for class I explainedi took the class, they didnt know who I was I told them it was my fingerprinting day they said they would get back toe and never did..I want a refund of all my money...these people are criminalDesired Settlement: I want complaint ro be seen by every consumer especially those who is entering security field, and I want an apilogy this really messed up my job expectations and career I needed this license toake extra money for survival

I attempted to contact them back they are not answering my phone calls. I had no choice but to cancel services due to a medical emergency. My calls still go unanswered and I would like my money back in full for services not rendered. After doing a further detailed investigation this company establishment are scammers and I have proof. This is another reason why that I want my money back and I do not think they are even certified or licesened.Desired Settlement: I would not only like refund I would also like this business shut down and for them to pay back the punitive damages for wasting my time and my money in return. I would like to also follow suit and have them investigated for fraud and arrested.

Sincerely,

Review: I responded to a job advertisement on Saturday 10/ **/2013 as a security officer. When I arrived at the location of the business I was interviewed by [redacted] who right away asked for my social security and ID. believing that this was a job offer, I provided her with my documents and she asked me for an initial administrative fee of $ 80 US dollars which I paid in cash. she prepared a contract and asked me to initial in several places, and I did thinking that I was accepted to the job. she dd not explain to me all terms of the contact and because [redacted] is my second language I was so excited to get the job and was going to get more explanation from my friend on the terms in the contract. [redacted] also told me that if I take their training, I will pay $ 600 US dollars. The training was to start on 10/**2013, but I called on I Spoke to [redacted] on Sunday 10/**/2013 and cancelled the contact and the training because it came to my attention that they don't offer or provide people with jobs and they lied to me. it was only a company that gives training and [redacted] didn't explain that in details to me or ask if I understood all the terms of the contract or not. [redacted] informed me that I need to pay $ 600 Dollars even if I didn't get any training with the company and even if I cancelled the contact.Desired Settlement: Refund my $ 80 dollars and send me a cancellation confirmation of the fraudulent contract.

Business

Response:

The complainant has misunderstood the functions of this company. We are not a company that only provides training. We are a company where we have a Job Placement director who is contact with Security Companies who are hiring as well as private buildings and personnel who require security. In order to go forward for these opportunities what is needed are the required state mandated certifications one needs in order to work security anywhere in new york state. Unfortunately the complainant wishes to cancel his contract and he has the right to do so; there is a cancellation policy on the bottom of the 1st page of the contract which states:

You may cancel this contract if the services cease to be offered by our instructor and security training school. If the contract gets cancelled, NY Security has the option to return the full amount of the balance less the deposit for handling clerical and administrative services for the student. You may notify NY Security of your intent to cancel by notice to:

The company has not received a notice from [redacted] so that it may be filed with our copy of the contract, until doing so he is still a client of ours and the opportunities will still be available to him as well as his training.

Sincerely,

Review: I found this company on the classified ads online for a front desk position. I called left a message and within a few hours they returned my call, gave me an appointment and told me that I had to bring in a deposit of $80 for a security license..

I went for my appointment which was @ 10am Wednesday August *, 2014. I filled out an application, waited and was called into one of the offices that was there. They explained that they were a security company but that I could not be placed to work until I had my security license and that they would help me get it, that call the classes would be $400 and I would have to pay for it. I would have to bring in $100 a day for 4 days after I would get all the credentials.. They gave me a copy of they contract and the rest of my paperwork and told me to come back the next day. I went home to research the company and I didn't find anything on the company so I decided not to continue with the job. I went back the next day and asked for my deposit back because I didn't think that it was right to have to pay them for a job and she told me that they had the right to decide whether they want to give it back or not, then offered to give me the classes for free but not to tell anyone in the class about it. She explained that no matter what the license what going to cost $150 and that much I knew but then told me I had to pay for it before I start the classes still I said no and still she did not want to give me back my deposit of $80.Desired Settlement: My money to be prepaid to me

Review: N.Y. Security posted an ad on [redacted] advertising a security job, stating that they needed security guards with NO experience. See URL for full description: [redacted] I called and left a voicemail. Three days later I received a call saying that all I needed was $80 to pay for training and they would find me a job. When I went on an interview I was given a contract to sign and asked to pay $600 more for 3-4 days of training. In the contract N.Y. Security states that they do not guarantee a job, and they provide training only. This was not indicated in any way in the ad which I responded to.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of my $80 due to false advertisement.

In his complaint [redacted] indicated that what the ad stated was that we needed security guards w/ no experience. We can help people with no experience go out for the job opportunities but it is illegal in New York State for a person to work without a guard License. What is needed to work security in NYS is an up-to-date state mandated 8hr and 16hr as well as a security guard license. Upon completing and passing his training he would have sat down with the job placement director and would have gone forth. The clause in the agreement are due to the face that if a person can't pass a criminal background check or drug test we would not be able to go forward with the job opportunity and the only thing they will be admitted are their certifications and anything else they may have paid for. Due to the fact that he signed the contract it states on the bottom of the first page that there are no refunds of the $80.00 deposit nor has he sent in his not ice of cancellation. If he wishes to still receive the training and to complete his courses he still can until the end of the year of signing the agreement.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is NOT satisfactory to me and the matter has NOT been resolved.

When I got a call from the company to set up an interview I was not told that I would need to pay $600 for the training, or that they didn't guarantee a job. When I went on the interview, only after I paid the $80 was I told that i

needed to pay $600 for the job training and the security license. On an interview they asked me for my social security number which I didn't know that I should have never showed them until I got home and did a little research on the company. There were few videos and articles on the internet with a warnings that there were few security guard scam jobs on [redacted] and if you typed their phone number in the search pad you would get a scam warning. These articles and videos showed the exact number given on the add I found on [redacted] and when I typed that number I got a security scam warning, with the exact address I was interviewed at. [redacted]

Sincerely,

Review: I had a job interview . At the time of the job interview , the interviewer [redacted] said I was required to take two classes that end up totaling in $330 for 3-4 days . She wasn't specific how many days . Prior to signing the contract I was not explained the cancellation policy . I gave a $50 deposit , within less than an hour I told her I had concerns that I couldn't afford these classes and I no longer wanted to get this job. I spoke to a [redacted] and he tried to convince me to continue but I was no longer interested in these services . He said to call back and would speak to the boss and sees what can happen . When I read the contract , I found many inconsistencies . On the contract , it stated to can write for an intent to cancel , which was the same address of the business place . The business place only has one room and I was told the [redacted] was the boss . I saw many red flags in this . I initially came for this interview June ** , and by June **, I went to the office and physically gave my written letter to the [redacted] . I was told to call June ** for a decision but due to other emergency situations I called a week later on June **. This company is giving me the run around and I question their companyDesired Settlement: I would like a refund of my 50 dollar deposit since I didn't use any of their services and I was not explained the contract

Sincerely,

Review: I am 18 years old and I have never had job. A company called NY Security contacted me on June **, 2014 come in for an interview on June **, 2014 to apply for a position as a security guard. I was advise to bring a $130 for training. When I arrived I was interviewed by a [redacted]), who informed me that the $130 dollars is for the 8 hour and 16 hour class. I thought this $130 dollars was for the New York City qualification. I was also told that they would provide me with a job after I finished my hours. They mentioned qualifications for federal security but I was not interest in this area. A document was then presented to me to signed but not fully explained, not until I asked a copy of the document. I did not realized until June **, 2014, when my aunt read the application, that what I signed was a contract. [redacted] signed me up for both the NY and Federal qualifications without my knowledge. This means that I am now being charged an extra $460 dollars for qualification I did not need or requested. I was told I was guaranteed a job after I finish the 8 hour and 16 hour course. According the this contract, this is no true. The contract states that if I discontinue the qualification course with NY Security, I forfeit $130 dollar and I would have to pay the remaining balance of $460 dollars. If I don't pay this money, they would then send my information to a collections agency to force me to pay the balance. I was misled in every way by NY Security and I would like some help to keep them from ruining my future. Please Help!!Desired Settlement: I am happy to forfeit the refund but I would like the outstanding balance to be dismissed. A written letter stating the dismissed balance would be agreeable.

Review: I am a 19 year old student who was seaking summer employment. I invested $600 for training, assistance with licensing, and a job. My jorney started on 6/**/14 it is now 8/** and I am scheduled to return to school without any of the services promised. They manage in an air of secrecy. They do not divulge names nor are their any signes that this is a legitimate. Each appointment that you have with them results in another appointment. The people operating this company are running a scam for security positions. They are promising a security job but when you get to the interview start charging you fees that you must pay up front with no refunds. They make you sign a contract but fail to communicate that once you sign the contract an automatic charge of $480.00 will be made and you wont be able to get your money back if you decide to cancel before the classes start. They make you pay $80.00 up front, $200.00 on your first day of classes and another $200.00 after classes are done. The classes are not legit; they don't pick up phone calls; their numbers are always changing; they claim to get back to you and never do and they don't provide enough information about the "school" or show a proper license for the degree that they give you once the classes are done. This place is a SCAM and will do anything to get your money.Desired Settlement: I would like my $600
