Unhelpful Employee
I called the general hospital number. Young lady answers and I ask her a few questions and then she transfers me over to security where there is no answer after ringing the phone 20x. I call the hospital again and now she doesn't answer NYU Langone she justs automatically puts me on hold. I tried to call back now she's not even answering the phone.
It is clearly obvious that this employee needs to be retrained or take a job that interests her.

Review: They sent my mother a hospital service bill that arrived on Feb **, 2014 for the visit on September **, 2013. We never received any bill in regards of the $250 payment until February **, 2014 for the September **, 2013 service. My mother's private information was released to R T R Financial Services for collections. They have been calling for my mother for the last three months and we did not know why we are getting these phone calls. Until February **, 2014, we received a collection letter from RTR Financial Services stating that we owe Lutheran Medical Hospital a bill of $250. I tried to return RTR Financial Services for the past months when I started to get the calls from them. I was always being transferred to an automatic answering machine. On February **, 2014, I contacted both companies. I called RTR Financial Services to see if they would of answer, again was transferred to customer service representative line to leave a messege. I then attempted to call Lutheran Hospital's billing department. The representative informed me that the bill was sent to collection in error. The outstanding $250 still need to get paid. There's no problem for us to pay the $250. But to get the constant phone calls and messege from RTR Financial Services and no letters from either companies to let us know of what was going on was very frustrating and concerning. The $250 have been mailed out as of today in full.Desired Settlement: I would like an apology letter from Lutheran Medical Hospital to my mother as well as my mother's information to be removed from RTR Financial Services.

Also hope that this never again should happen to another individual to scare them that they might be under a debt collector's list until it is certain that they should be under that list. In hope we should never have this problem again with Lutheran Medical Hospital Billing Department & stop contacts from RTR Financial Services regards to the $250.

Sincerely,

Review: I been waiting for a refund from this hospital since December **, 2012. This hospital every time I go for services, they tell me that I have to pay a co-pay. But when I receive my explanation of benefit from my insurance they state that I don't owed nothing to the provider. The claim# is [redacted] of the bill of December **, 2012 for [redacted] X-ray. I spoke to the hospital and my insurance, the hospital states that I have to wait for 6-8 weeks for a refund. I haven't received anything. The insurance says that they contacted them and wait 6-8 weeks. I have another bill that I also pay a co-pay and this week I received the explanation of benefit and I was not suppose to pay a co-pay of $25.00. The claim number is [redacted] and also contacted the insurance and the hospital. I also contacted my bank to dispute it.Desired Settlement: I would like to get my refund my back of $50.00 dollars for both services. This hospital is difficult to contact them via phone, they keep saying that they refunded the money and I haven't receive anything. They have unprofessional staff working there and they never resolve the problem.

The hospital indeed sending me the checks of $25.00 x 3 times but they send it to an old address I had in file three years ago. I believe they did that on purpose, since the old address I knew people they let me know about the letters. Thank you so much Revdex.com for the help. You guys are best in service.

Sincerely,

Review: On 05/**/**, my wife and I took my daughter [redacted] (who was [redacted] at the time) to emergency room (ER) at Lutheran Medical Center (LMC) due to her having [redacted] and not feeling well. One week prior to that, my daughter had a surgery at LMC and we believed that her [redacted] and not feeing well were related to the surgery. After we arrived to LMC at around 9pm, the ER staff physician examined [redacted]. While [redacted] was in ER, she received no treatment, except for insertion of an [redacted] and [redacted]. The [redacted] revealed elevated white blood cell (WBC) count, which usually is a sign of infection. When I asked the ER physician why he would not start IV antibiotics right away, he replied that he wanted to do another test for WBC in the morning. Another blood test that was done the next morning, showed elevated WBC count again.

[redacted] was admitted to the hospital and transferred to a hospital room around 8am on [redacted]. While in the hospital room, she received IV antibiotics twice: first time at around 1pm, and the second time around 5pm.

At about 8 pm she was discharged home.

About two weeks later we received a letter from our health insurance company Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) informing us that the insurance company considered the admission to the hospital medically unnecessary, so they paid for the ER but did not pay the hospital charges. The insurance company also wrote that since the admission to the hospital was not medically necessary we should not pay the hospital charges either.

About one month later, in the middle of June 20**, we received a bill from LMC for $2, 301.90 for the hospital admission. I called the hospital's billing department and after being on hold for about 30-40 minutes, spoke to Monica. After I explained the situation, Monica stated, "You do not have to pay this bill, they will need to appeal it with the insurance company. Just disregard it".

We just received another bill form LMC for the same $2,301.90 for the same medically unnecessary hospital admission of my daughter [redacted] on [redacted].

I believe that the antibiotic treatment for my daughter [redacted] should have been started and completed while she was in ER, so she would not have to be admitted to the hospital. I do not understand while the treatment was delayed potentially putting my daughter in the danger of the infection spreading and developing into septic shock.

Please help me to fight this bill from LMC for the service the insurance company found medically unnecessary.Desired Settlement: I want the charge of $2,301.90 to be dismissed since the services [rovided by the Lutheran Medical Center were medically unnecessary (according to our health insurance company).
