O Fallon Trophy & Engraving

I own O'Fallon Trophy & Engraving located in O'Fallon, Missouri. This year due to declining customers we had to close our store front. More and more people are purchasing online and less are buying local. With that being said, I deliberated over what to do about our customers
we have a relationship with. Customers that have perpetual plaques purchase the product and the future engraving(s) at the time of the initial purchase, this is the industry standard in doing engraving business. I did not want to leave any of our customers with 'money on the table', plaques with future engraving needs. So, rather than closing our store completely I decided to keep the name, phone and website so that I could honor those purchases. OTE (O'Fallon Trohphy & Engraving) has been doing business with the StCharles Community College for many years and would love to continue doing business with the school. At the end of school year there is always a influx of engraving needs. The college has several different departments that we do business with. When we closed the physical doors we decided to give our local customers options to get their engraving needs met, they can take the plates off of the plaques and mail them to me or I can pickup and deliver the products. I was working with several different departments within the college and was trying to coordinate pickup and delivery dates as well as the needs of each group. Below are some of the people I was working with, I do believe there was one other person but cannot find the email information for her, I apologize. I archive the correspondence once work is complete and that may be what happened, I need more time to investigate/search my records. Last year we talked about having one point of contact for the college to have the engraving needs met because it gets very confusing as to what we are doing for whom and I wanted to rid the frustration for everyoneThe day I received the letter from the Revdex.com there was also a letter from the Attorney General of Missouri for the same complaint (attached). This was very confusing to me, I have not dealt with the Revdex.com before but it was my understanding that I should wait for their decision before I did anything? I stopped correspondence with all of the groups. I did not want to do something to make the situation worse. I am heartbroken over this whole situation. I could have closed the doors and walked away but was and am trying to do right by the customers and relationships I have built and am building. If they would like their money back for the plaque, I do not have a problem with doing so, I will return the funds when I receive the plaque. It would be most unfortunate if that is what is decided, again, I have much love for the school and would love to continue to do business with them.
