This school provided me with false information. Taking advantage of me being a [redacted], resulting in me owing unnecessary money.
I was a student at Ozark Technical Community College in Waynesville, MO. The day I went to register for classes I let them know I was clueless and needed as much help as possible. I took a placemeng test and came back the lady gave me all the classes she said I would take public speaking and the this other English class after I had completed the first. So I focused on getting good grades and completing my first class. In [redacted] I recieved an email saying I was withdrawn from the second English class due to not showing up. I emailed back asking why was I withdrawn from a class I wasnt in yet. They told me it was ok I could retake it next semester, when I was originally told it was. Next thing I know I havr an email saying I owe [redacted] so I filled a appeal which they denied a few days before the money was due. I was unable to come up with that in less than a month so they sent it to collections and the bill is now [redacted] and I cant return to college until I can come up with that money. I am not the only one I have heard of this happening to. Why would I attend all my class but that one? I wouldn't. I would have went if I was provided with the right information. I do not think this school should keep getting away with doing this. Due to this I am behind in futhering my education and am going to have bad credit at [redacted] This is not ok.
