Attached is my response to *** ***Hi ***,I just started going through my emails and saw this I briefly look at the email that the Revdex.com sent me.I am sorry the way things have turned out As you may or may not know,I had three surgeries and have been laid up for awhile The
last surgery was on August 2nd On August 5th you sent me an email On July 23, what ever happen to my colon, it burst, surgeries in days, the first days were very criticalThe last time we spoke you wanted the trashed removed from the back of the yard, *** had to finish up the electrical and you told me that you and your father was going to finish up the rest. When I spoke with ***, he informed me that you had a punch list that you wanted us to finish, but you were going on vacation I asked *** how long to finish the punch list and he said less than a day.Let me get this straight, when you moved in, you said that the only thing that you wanted to do was to have the trashed removed, the other pending items were the electrical and what *** the cabinet guy had to finish The other items that you wanted done would have to wait until you had the money The relocation of the heat ducting you were going to have done later and you and your father were going to finish up the rest of the items. From July to August 5th, I was in the hospital, you were on vacation till to the 12th or 13th On August 2nd you sent an email, on August 5th you sent an email but the soonest that we could do the work would of been on a Saturday or Sunday Tomorrow is Monday, August 15th *** will be there late morning or in the afternoon, he said it will be less than a day, so he should be finished on Tuesday. You mentioned the timeline and the increase in cost, as you stated, the scope of work from kitchen and bath, to the entire house remodel, all new electrical, drywall, a Santa Barbara stucco finish, new windows, additional interior and exterior doors, new flooring in the master bedroom and a new roof You got your project done at cost plus a small fee of 15%! The cost of your project as of a few weeks ago was $142, Some $40,over the original budget, yet you completely remodel your home! If you had another contractor bid the project that entailed what we did, it would cost twice as much as you paid Look at it this way, you had your entire house remodeled for less that $dollar a square foot and it took months to do.......tell me who can do a complete upscale remodel for less than $a s.f., other than the crappy paint job, (your friends Subcontractor) everything else was exceptional. As far as the tile in the shower floor, some one opted for large pebbles, that restricts the flow of of the water draining and that is why there is puddling I will call *** to see if he can do something, perhaps a better pattern of pebbles to get the water to drain. Our contract stated that I would get paid on a weekly basis Each and every week you were given invoices, as well as a cost allocation and budget report You knew exactly to the penny what things costs, you had each invoice that was paid for the subcontractors, material picked up You had the totals of each line item, plumbing, electrical, etcover line items The report showed you what was completed, the percentage left on that category Yet, you kept apologizing for adding to the scope of the project and stating that this is going to cost more, and now you have buyers remorse for work that you added!I thought you were a stand up guy, and someone that I respected, respected that you are a Christian, a good father and a patriot Yet, I have worked for nasty people over the years In years of contracting, no one has ever tried to damage my reputation and livelihood by reporting me to the Revdex.com In light of the circumstances of my health and you knowing full well that every time you add something to the project it is going to cost and increase the timeline of completion The project was done on cost plus a fee, did you not tell me that you were going to finish up with your Dad? Did you even notice that I worked many hours, pick up material and did not charge you for my time Look at the time I charged you on the weeks before you moved in, minimal hours.Lastly, there are costs that I paid for, the temporary toilet, the cost of removing the debris, balance of the electrical and the time to do your punch list The cost of the liability insurance for the total job, the 15% fee on the cabinets, tile materials, fixtures that I never got paid for. Everything that went into the house, with the exception of appliances and draperies, I am to get 15% fee, Am I suppose to do all this for free, at no charge as stated in your complaint ***, will be there tomorrow, he will finish your punch list.*** ***
