O'Day Construction

Hired Dan O'Day Construction for a bathroom remodel He took money and did not complete the job Represented himself as licensed and insured, yet he neglected to renew both while doing our project He failed to purchase the items needed to complete the remodel Failed to show up and work, failed to return phone calls, bounced a check for the cabinets We fired him via email because he spent all the money on who knows what and could not complete our bathroom The bathroom is not in any condition to be used

The client has a neurological disorder which disallows him from communicating in a fashion necessary to conduct commerce of the sort I have with hundreds of clients over a successful year periodThe client did in fact "fire" me over email and refused my request to allow me to pick up thousands
of dollars of my tools from his residence unless I paid him $25,This dollar amount of "ransom" to be paid for permission to retrieve my tools seems to be based on the client's concept of what he believes he paid for and what he believes he received for said paymentIn years of successful 100% referral based business I have never had such an unfortunate and bizarre experience with a client. With regard to the client's seeming mission in life to discredit me and my business of near a quarter century standing I am unconcerned in that I enacted a plan years in the making on schedule to shift my operations away entirely from remodeling to a 100% shop based design/build of unique in concept and material exterior furniture manufacturing and sales firm.I am taking some of my valuable time to respond to this ludicrous complaint by this client only because he is seemingly working to defame me via any and all means at his disposalIt is quite sad and tragic for him and I hope he gets the help he needs from a mental health professional.
