I contacted *** to renovate my bathroomHe wanted upfront money to purchase materials and was given a check of dollars (half the cost of the renovation) which he cashed immediatelyHe promised to complete the work on Thursday at pm and did not show up, after calling all afternoon he returned our call late that evening stating that he had car troubleWe asked him when he could complete the work that he had promised, he promised to be there at am Friday morning and would be done with the job by amAgain *** did not show up as promised, numerous calls and text were made to him in which he did not respondAfter hours of numerous calls and text with no response from ***, we contacted the cabinet store where he was supposed to purchase materials and they stated he never paid for the cabinetsWe checked with our bank and they informed us the money had been taken outThe bank advised us to contact the police and we didThe police attempted to contact *** several times while he was with us and received no responseI then posted the incident on Facebook in an attempt to make contact with him, after a few days he contacted usWe requested him to return our money, he stated it was the weekend and the bank was closedWe agreed to meet him Monday morning to return our money at am He rescheduled several time, but returned to money to usWe simply stated that we did not want to work with him again and do not want to be contacted by him in the futureSeveral days later he continuously calls and text stating that he was going to sue us for harassmentWe were very patient and understanding with *** throughout the entire process and in no way did we harass himWe do not know if he is a licensed contractor, but do not want this to happen to anyone else in the futureThere are others who have experienced the same thing from *** ***
