Thank you for your inquiry.in July the customer purchased a Wall Bed from Oak ArizonaAs indicated in the customer complaint, it was delivered as scheduled in AugustOn time, and as promised! Due to the complexity of the installation the manufacturer provides installation servicesThe bed
certainly should have been better protected from the rain, but note that the finishing process used prevents future warpingThe bed has a lifetime warranty and there was no mention of any current warping or damage although four months have passed since the bed was installedThe warranty remains in effect, and if there is any warping now or in the future we will of course replace the bedNote that apparently a message was left with the manufacturer, but not with our storeSo we were unaware that there was a delivery issueWe were NEVER contacted by the customerto either let us know about the delivery issue or to pay the balance due.During a year end accounting review we discovered that we had inadvertently never collected the balance of $due on the bedWhen we called to inquire about the balance, we found out about the delivery issuesWe were also told that the customer had to buy a replacement piece of wood for a support that goes under the bedNote that this piece of wood is not actually integral to the the structure of the bed, and apparently was damaged by the rainThis piece of the bed is the only unfinished part of the bed, and is susceptible to water damage as it is unprotected by the finishing processThe customer requested a discount for the inconvenience, and we agreed to provide a $creditNote that the piece of wood that had to be replaced costs approximately $or less at Home DepotThe customer also told us that they had recently become ill, and preferred to pay the balance due starting in January in monthly paymentsThis was not acceptableThe product was delivered in AugustThere were no current problems with the productWe offered a $discount for a part that costs under $30. Retail stores do not provide terms after a product is installedThe employee who discussed this with the customer had no authority to discuss payment in for a product that was installed in August Our store manager offered to pick up the bed for a full refundThe customer opted to pay the balance dueLess $for a $part.we do not believe any further compensation is due, and will not be offering any further discountWe wish the customer a speedy recover, and enjoyment of the product they purchasedShould there be any problems associated with the product in the future we will of course take care of them

certainly should have been better protected from the rain, but note that the finishing process used prevents future warping. The bed has a lifetime warranty and there was no mention of any current warping or damage although four months have passed since the bed was installed. The warranty remains in effect, and if there is any warping now or in the future we will of course replace the bed. Note that apparently a message was left with the manufacturer, but not with our store. So we were unaware that there was a delivery issue. We were NEVER contacted by the customer. to either let us know about the delivery issue or to pay the balance due.During a year end accounting review we discovered that we had inadvertently never collected the balance of $2038 due on the bed. When we called to inquire about the balance, we found out about the delivery issues. We were also told that the customer had to buy a replacement piece of wood for a support that goes under the bed. Note that this piece of wood is not actually integral to the the structure of the bed, and apparently was damaged by the rain. This piece of the bed is the only unfinished part of the bed, and is susceptible to water damage as it is unprotected by the finishing process. The customer requested a discount for the inconvenience, and we agreed to provide a $400 credit. Note that the piece of wood that had to be replaced costs approximately $30 or less at Home Depot. The customer also told us that they had recently become ill, and preferred to pay the balance due starting in January in monthly payments. This was not acceptable. The product was delivered in August. There were no current problems with the product. We offered a $400 discount for a part that costs under $30. Retail stores do not provide terms after a product is installed. The employee who discussed this with the customer had no authority to discuss payment in 2015 for a product that was installed in August 2014. Our store manager offered to pick up the bed for a full refund. The customer opted to pay the balance due. Less $400 for a $30 part.we do not believe any further compensation is due, and will not be offering any further discount. We wish the customer a speedy recover, and enjoyment of the product they purchased. Should there be any problems associated with the product in the future we will of course take care of them.
