Absolute worse experience involved with renting a houseWe initially moved in and were told someone would contact us to fill all holes in the walls and touch up the paint when in fact no one ever was sentAfter finding out we needed to move due to special needs for a family matter we had to break our lease early and gave more than the required days notice, at that point we were told we would have to pay 75% of one months rent to cover the relisting fee and after asking multiple times for a cost breakdown receipt for this expense one was never provided as well as a move out checklist we were supposed to receive but never didThe fee should be the same amount across the board and in fact nothing about a relisting fee is in the original contract paperworkTowards the end of us living there the owners did a walk through of the house less than weeks prior to us moving out and nothing was found wrong with the conditionAfter the day time period when we were supposed to receive our deposit we found out from the current rental tenants that Oak City Properties had never went into the house to fill holes and touch up paint once again and instead blamed us for breaking our lease without notice and said we had left the house a disaster so they are trying to keep our depositHow can this be when the owners of the house found nothing wrong and the rental company is required to also do a walk through inspection after we vacated the property and no issues were reported? We had spent days cleaning the entire house, had the carpets shampooed and even pressure washed before moving outThis is the most unprofessional rental company my wife and I have ever dealt with and we have been renting houses over the past yearsThey never returned calls or responded to emails If you are looking to rent a house DO NOT deal with them, there are many very reputable rental companies who will do a much better job than they do

Listing agent [redacted] was a complete nightmare to try to deal withWe just wanted to see a home she had listed, but it took many emails/calls over a period of days just for her to even acknowledge our requestThen, she only offered a minute window on a Thursday afternoon (we repeatedly requested an evening showing since that is when my husband would be available)I agreed even though the time was completely inconvenientThen we get an email at 9:40pm the night before the showing that says, "sorrythis property is rented" The whole process was completely unprofessionalI guess it's good that it didn't work out because if simply viewing a property was that much hassle, I can't imagine what it would be like trying to actually live in one of their properties!

I can't tell something bad about the whole company but their realtor agent [redacted] is the worst agent I've ever met! We made an appointment and forewarned that we're from another city and it takes about hours to get to the property but when arrived found no one thereWe called [redacted] and asked where she isShe simply said that she doesn't have any time for us but she will try to find another agent in our area during an hourAnd of course she didn't find somebody and didn't call us back

Listing agent [redacted] was a complete nightmare to try to deal with. We just wanted to see a home she had listed, but it took many emails/calls over a period of 5 days just for her to even acknowledge our request. Then, she only offered a 30 minute window on a Thursday afternoon (we repeatedly requested an evening showing since that is when my husband would be available). I agreed even though the time was completely inconvenient. Then we get an email at 9:40pm the night before the showing that says, "sorrythis property is rented". The whole process was completely unprofessional..... Absolute worse experience involved with renting a house. We initially moved in and were told someone would contact us to fill all holes in the walls and touch up the paint when in fact no one ever was sent. After finding out we needed to move due to special needs for a family matter we had to break our lease early and gave more than the required 60 days notice, at that point we were told we would have to pay 75% of one months rent to cover the relisting fee and after asking multiple times for a cost breakdown receipt for this expense one was never provided as well as a move out checklist we were supposed to receive but never did. The fee should be the same amount across the board and in fact nothing about a relisting fee is in the original contract paperwork. Towards the end of us living there the owners did a walk through of the house less than 2 weeks prior to us moving out and nothing was found wrong with the condition. After the 30 day time period when we were supposed to receive our deposit we found out from the current rental tenants that Oak City Properties had never went into the house to fill holes and touch up paint once again and instead blamed us for breaking our lease without notice and said we had left the house a disaster so they are trying to keep our deposit.
