We provided the patient with an estimate for the proposed treatment using the information we have from their insurance companies, however, we do provide a disclaimer with each
treatment plan/estimateWe have attached this form to the email
Employers change the benefits provided to their employees often, and, with so many different dental plans out there, it is impossible for us to give exact estimates to each patientWe do our best to provide our patients with this information to help them make decisions about their treatment, however, the estimate isn't always accurate and we tell them this when we review the proposed treatment planThey do have a responsibility to know their own benefits and verify them prior to treatmentWe regret that the patient is upset by their coverage and share in this frustrationWe would encourage them to discuss their concerns with their employer who the insurance is provided through
We will be in contact with this patient so that we can communicate this again, directly to themWe hope to be able to restore mutual trust and continue a dental/patient relationship

Three points:
1) So the estimates that clinic is providing to their customers can be three times less then the actual cost? I have never experienced something like that in my entire life
2) My wife got the estimate on the day of treatment and she signed it thinking it could be little bit more or less and then she was taken to the room to perform the procedureNot enough time was given for us to verify the actual cost through the insurance companyI did not receive any letter from my dental insurance saying that my plan benefits have changed so not sure why clinic is saying that in the mid stream my plan benefits were reduced
3) Still I will pay $that was given as an estimate and not a penny more
