Sent: Tuesday, September 06, 4:PMSubject: RE: Houston Revdex.com Complaint # [redacted] The project in reference to complaint # [redacted] is currently underwayMaterials are being delivered today, and the work commences tomorrowI would anticipate that the project will be complete in approximately working days, presuming that we have cooperative weather and no unforeseen issues

Our manager is visiting tomorrow I understood we communicated Friday I'm sorry for the delay in getting to the inspection FYI - its very unusual for a problem like this to arise years later from an installation problem It will likely be referred to the manufacturer but that requires a managers inspection.Thank you

The windows are properly installed, so Allied's installation warranty doesn't applyThe complaint here is really with the replacement of windows that have failed, which has two components - materials and labor - and is a manufacturer issue [redacted] is honoring its stated warranty, which covers the materialsThe labor portion of [redacted] 's warranty was covered for the first two years of ownership, so the warranty for that has long expiredWe suggest that the insurance company gets involved, as this is likely a result of house shifting, especially considering that this home was very near the eye of Hurricane Ike, which occurred six months after the windows were installedIf Allied is asked to handle the labor for installing the replacement materials, we'll be happy to do so at our standard rates

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint The assertion that Leonard did not schedule two meetings with me and then fail to show up twice is patently and a lieThis is certainly par for the course in dealing with AlliedThey have lied to me repeatedly throughout my dealings with themWhile Bryan did come to my home and inspect the shoddy installation he never again contacted me with any plan to repair the workI will stand as an unhappy former customer of Allied and will make sure to share my experience and photographs with other interested parties Regards,

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me provided they pay $for the cost of the window and installation which the window provider agreed toPlease forward a check to me so we may resolve this matter [redacted] ***

I spoke to [redacted] Thursday afternoon We agreed to an action plan which we immediately undertook Before close of business Thursday we authroized the order of replacement parts and engaged the manufacturer representative Our local Production Coordinator sent an Email with this update Despite IMMEDIATE action, we received a complaint The manufacturer rep will visit Monday and agree to corrections to be made - as well as confirming the replacement parts list.I committed to make all corrections and we will do so I'm not sure why [redacted] filed a complaint less than hours after we agreed to a plan

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint I offer thanks to Allied for confirming that my final invoice is paid in fullThank you for confirming that the recently received invoice is incorrect.I find comments regarding down payment to be irrelevantNothing about down payment is being disputedAt this point, my position is that Allied ought to offer me further discounts (refund) on this workI appreciate that 10% off was offered after the first two crews failed to meet expectationsUnfortunately, crew also failed expectations and ultimately had to be replaced by a 4th crewAs this project played out over weeks, I incurred severe personal hardship, lost time from work, an injured pet, and a final result that does not meet my expectationsAllied provided an additional $discount which only covers my vet bill and travel timeUltimately, I still have no compensation for roofing damage, chimney damage, window damage, grass damage, an improperly mounted storm door, additional personal hardship, and siding that still does not meet expectationsRegards, [redacted]

There must be some confusionLeonard never made an appointment with Mr [redacted] ; thus, there was nothing to back out ofWhen Leonard called Mr [redacted] , he was told that it was too late and that another company had been hiredThe project was reviewed and examined by our Regional Manager - Bryan H [redacted] - in JanuaryHe walked the property with Mrs [redacted] Regardless, there are no corrections that Allied can make at this point because the project was completely redone

The vinyl on the window in question was fixed at the home last FridayEverything on the agreed upon punch list has been completedPayment is now due for the project and needs to be addressed todayThe project has been completed in accordance with manufacturer specifications and best practicesWe are happy to have a manufacturer's representative review the project and professional installationHowever, arranging that review does not warrant any further delay in the payment for the projectThat must be handled todayThank you

I have spoken to the customer many times Our team has spoken to her dozens of times We had the manufacturer visit and inspect the job They agreed it is done to manufacturer specifications Her complaint is with the manufacturer There are some paint / asthetic touch up items we will address. This complaint is not on Allied It is about the manufacturer Please remove this from our record[redacted] - we will not complete any paint touch up until you correct this comlaint I'm surprised this was done since we have responded to you within minutes for weeks now

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.comThe [redacted] rep came to my house a week agoAndrea of Allied emailed to let me know installer would contact me to schedule installation of replacement partsI have not heard from the installer Job completion is still pending [redacted]

Wow - we have spoken a dozen times The [redacted] representative told you the work was done right What would you like me to do?

[redacted] called me Thursday - I returned her call the same day Our installer called her Friday We are working on this.We did not supply the window in question Indeed we asked [redacted] to communicate with the window company as they may have accidental glass breakage coverage Its unlikely our warranty will cover this The crack is on the inside pane of glass Unless we were negligent (ladder through the window) we are not responsible for ancillary damage that can occur from our work - most common are nail head pops in the inside drywall The report card the customer supplied scored the crew (out of 10) and noted "excellent work" I can assume there were not instances of negligent behavior based on this rating. We communicated Thursday and Friday Today is Monday At this point, we will stop looking into the matter further

We would consider covering any cost associated with replacing the glass The only request was for the owner to coordinate with whoever they purchased the window from Thats not unreasonable.Unless we were negligent we are not responsible for this But out of good faith we told the owner to inquire with the window company and we would (likely) pay for any cost to replace the glass

We read your warranty together. It covers labor only if there is a defect in the labor (workmanship) - you are not including that now..... Defects in labor appear immediately - not years later. Labor just isn't covered. You are getting brand new doors (not just replacement parts) and you are only responsible for nominal labor cost

Doors have the longest lead time of any of the products that Allied sellsIn this case, the door could have been installed when it arrived, but Mr*** didn't want it to be installedMaking adjustments to accommodate small size differences is a common occurrence in the home improvement industry,
but Mr*** asked that it be reordered, and Allied obligedHowever, doing that requires that it be re-manufactured and reordered, which presents a delay.Per the agreed upon contract, payment is required when the project is substantially completeAllied asked for payment consistent with the agreed upon terms and conditions. There was some confusion with the door paintingWhen Mr*** contacted our local manager to ask about painting the door, our manager said that he would come out and paint it for himMr*** declined and said that he had already had someone else paint the door.Allied painted the agreed upon soffit and fasciaThe agreed upon contract is clear that we were to replace siding on the front and rear of the homeThe left and right sides of the homes are clearly marked that we were not to replace siding on those sides of the homeSoffit and fascia is replaced in the same areas where siding is replaced.Warranty information is emailed to our customers after the project is complete and paid forThe warranty information was emailed to *** on May 27, Allied will re-email the warranty information

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint If Allied created a punch list to address my concerns they never shared it with meI have no email, phone message or letter identifying any remedial action that Allied agreed to do to correct the poor installationIn fact, I scheduled two appointments with their field rep Leonard and he broke both appointments with no notice before the scheduled meeting and no follor attempt to reschedule the meeting after he failed to show for both appointmentsI waited several weeks for some correspondence from Allied to address my concerns and for them to correct the poor quality of their initial workI finally decided that I had no choice but to use another contractor to repair and replace Allied's work and continue the siding replacement on other areas around my houseI have not asked for a complete refund, I asked only that Allied repay me for the corrective action they refused to identify, schedule or completeI am attaching two pictures showing the poor quality of Allied's installation - Allied's crew should have never been allowed to leave the job site with this lack of quality installationAllied does not deserve a positive rating from the Revdex.com

You have not paid in full Tracy will be in touch to determine a final punch list and come to an agreement on the roof.Had the installed re-settled the shingles as he worked this would not be an issue That was our point - we replace drip edge on homes per month and never replace the
shingles all around the home The remedy is to reset the existing shingles which is what we intended to do - only after the fact
