Rented a beachfront home from Oak Island Accommodations (rentalsatthebeach.com) July to August 5, - Barefoot Children Arrived at the house only to see that a new house was being built right beside it within feet for deck and kitchen/living room windows We called as soon as we got in the house and went from reservation agent to property manager quickly Asked for GM to call and was told Joel would be back with me that afternoon, but nothing they could do I finally reached him Thursday morning after many voice messages to him only to get "we can't keep up with all the construction on the island" This new house has been under construction for over months, so either he is lying or the property managers don't inspect the units There was no mention of this on their website rentalsatthebeach.com (photos did not show nor in copy in description), no mention of it during our calls prior to renting to ask questions about the house and nothing after we paid the full rental feeWe decided to leave due to construction starting every day from 7am to 7pm Now a week later he responded with what will make you content and I replied, what does he think is fair based on thousands of dollars spent and vacation days wasted for my wife and I with no response! I rented a property advertised as Bedrooms located at*** for one week, starting Saturday July 28- Saturday August The pictures online showed more furniture in the living room than was there at the time of arrival When we arrived, the property was unsafe and dirty There were electrical cords running along the floor, sharp metal pieces sticking out from a bed, the door was broken with metal pieces hanging loose, linens were missing, dishes and appliances had food residue present, part of the ceiling was falling down, the walls were bulging and damaged, the fixtures were bare bulbs, and the entire place smelled of urine with sticky carpet I immediately left a voicemail with Oak Islan Accommodations upon arrival It was after hours, and we had no cotingency plan so we were forced to stay the night I expected a call in the morning I did not get a call
We've rented through OI Accommodations for years now and I could not be happierCheck in and out is simpleThey are conscientious about updating us of any issues with the houseThe one year that there was some porch furniture out for repair, they made it up to us with a gift certfor dinner on the islandThe houses are clean and comfortableThere is a rental range for every budgetStaff is incredibly friendWould absolutely recommend

I rented the home Kalamazoo on 7/1/and paid $This was for 7/9/16-7/16/On 7/6/the company called me and said that the Kalamazoo(XXXXXX) wasn't availableThey offered me the rental Barefoot Children(XXXXXX)I checked in with my family on 6/9/Upon entering the home we noticed ants in the kitchen area of the homeI didn't think too much about that and bought some Raid at the local grocery storeLater that night in the kids bedroom I killed a large roachAnts were okay, but I didn't want to spend my week with roachesI was busy unpacking, shopping, and settling that we didn't even watch TV the first nightOn 7/10/(second night)I turned on the television but the satellite said complete signal lostI called the office and explained to them about the cable and they said they would send someone to look at itLa
