This letter is in response to the letter we received regarding the above listed complaint number.I have reviewed the account for [redacted]. This patient was seen by our physicians in the emergency department at Brandon Regional Hospital on 1...
1/23/2013. [redacted] was billed for this service and processed this claim 3/6/2014 as follows:Billed Amount $1543 [redacted] Allowed - $1543 [redacted] Paid $1000[redacted] Applied to Deductible $543 (Pt Responsibility)[redacted] was sent a bill for the balance of $543 on 3/24/24, 4/25/14 and 5/28/14. To date, [redacted] has not been in contact with our office. This account was turned over to a collection agency 7/3/2014.After reviewing this account it is determined that this bill is correct. Although, the physicians are not participating providers with Humana, we have agreed to accept the [redacted] allowed amount. The patient is still responsible for paying any deductible, copay or co-insurance as per their insurance policy.As a courtesy, I have requested this be removed from the patient’s credit report.
