Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2014/11/08) */
The consumer has previously filed this complaint with the Department of Consumer Affairs, Cemetery and Funeral BureauThey conducted a thorough investigation into this matter and found that Oakmont was not at fault and had not violated
any of the Bureau's laws, rules, or regulations governing cemeteries in the State of California and closed the file on the complaint
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2014/11/11) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
While it is true that the Cemetery and Funeral Bureau could not find an enforceable regulation in this case, it is also true that they agreed Oakmont was in the wrong not to honor their agreement with usThe Department's in ability to compel Oakmont to do the right thing does not fix the problem and does not mean this case is closedWe respectfully request Oakmont honor their agreement with us
Final Business Response /* (4000, 15, 2014/12/16) */
We have reviewed Ms***'s further statements regarding this matterAfter careful consideration, we stand by our previous response
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 19, 2014/12/19) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I cannot accept the business' proposed resolution because they have not offered one
Oakmont's Revdex.com rating should reflect their:
(1) their decision NOT to honor their commitments to a customer and
(2) their inability to offer any good faith resolution to the problem they have created

Business Response /* (1000, 16, 2014/07/03) */
Sorry for not responding in a timely fashionThis matter will be looked at and we will respond back by 7/11/with a resolution
Consumer Response /* (3000, 18, 2014/07/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the
response from the business.)
What response? The information stated above says nothingI will tell you that Oakmont manager called me about this complaint and was not very understanding about my complaints regarding service, & returned calls...her comment was "I will have to look into this...I didn't expect her to do anything, the culture of rudeness goes throughout this companyShe was trying to "give me a better price on the marker" to win my business, I told her outright she would never see a penny of my money, that in fact a comment like that just fueled my anger, they were going to charge over $in the beginning and lower the price because of my complaint????? Isn't this unethical? There is no integrity in there business practices and the less I have to deal with them the betterIt will certainly be interesting to see what response they provide you on 7/11/14, if they do***
Business Response /* (4000, 20, 2014/07/09) */
Regional Manager has been in touch with the family to try to resolve the pricing issuesExplained the overhead cost and the reason behind our pricingPresented the family with resolution options but the family refused to accept any of the options
Consumer Response /* (2000, 22, 2014/07/10) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
There is nothing more to be said...the Regional Manager did contact me yesterday (7/9/13)Am I satisfied? NOBut I want nothing more to do with them, so when he alluded to the fact that he would waive the cost of installing the marker if we had a third party deliver it, I did tell him I had made other arrangements....his comments above infer that he made "several" options to me, which again is not a truthful statementI don't consider the woes of the cost of business as any optionMaybe if they had better customer service upfront and reasonable prices, they would have more business
