Oakridge Inn

Review: Reservations were made 7-16-15 for Aug 7-8 checking out the 9th. Enroute to the Hotel on Friday Aug 7th, while stopping for gas I slipped off the curbing ultimately breaking my ankle. We had to return home to emergency and was released early Saturday with a cast and having to keep my leg elevated thus causing me to not be able to return to Santa Barbara. I called Oakridge Inn @ approximately 2pm on Saturday Aug 8th and asked for a refund explaining my situation. The clerk stated there was no refunds and to speak to the place where the reservation was made. Called Reservation Counter.com and was told they would have to get an approval from Oakridge Inn placing me on hold. Their response was Oakridge said they would not do so. I therefore called Oakridge Inn asking why I could not get a refund for just the one day not both and was told that they had not gotten paid so how could they refund something they didn't have. They advised me to call Reservation Counter.com and request it from them because someone was lying. I explained this was an accident not planned and I only wanted 1 night refund especially since I called timely and they could still rent the room out intended for me. Reservation Counter was told what Oakridge stated and they flat out stated they would keep the money and no refund would be issued. Therefore I feel due to the circumstances they should be able to make exceptions in case of emergenices.Desired Settlement: Refund of @129.00 plus tax for Saturday Aug 8th. The total for 2 days was $283.83 which I am not debating for 2 days only 1.
