I cancelled my policy due to the multiple billing issues I was having with the Oakins (Safeco) insurance company in La Pine, Oregon I went in and paid my policy online at Safeco.com, then emailed the person I was given from a now deceased friend of the family who had previously been my agent The person is Steve J [redacted] He confirmed my payment was received, as I was not clear from the website it had been processed After this confirmation, I was charged a LATE FEE I asked Steve to have this removed and he stated it was through Safeco I cancelled my policy after multiple emails back and forth with no resolutionThe fee was for $ I have NOW received in the mail a bill for $"premium still owed" and an additional $in late fees The $should actually be a $credit for the balance of the policy I cancelled I do NOT owe Safeco this money and I would like this fee and balance credited appropriately I do not want the $credit I want a $balance,

I will look into the matter. I am not familiar with the caseSo I have to go back to Safeco and Steve J*** to get it taken care of. Thank you Tammy L***

Revdex.com:Why would a business ever WANT to "fight" with a customer? The response itself is ridiculous but the issue I complained about is now resolvedI would like a final bill with proof of a zero balance, as in my experience with this business, written confirmation via email is not enough.
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me, with the caveat of proof from Safeco, as Oakins has not been reliable.
