Oakwood Homes LLC

I purchased an Oakwood home April 2015.
We had a very bad Windstorm late December 2016 and one of the little windows (17x17) aprox. was broken including the frame.
Local window company's don't seem to be able to help with my problem.
I have been in contact with Oakwood's local and Corporate office via e-mail for close to a month asking for their help.
The window manufacturer tells me that I have to request this window to be ordered through Oakwood's sales person.
So far Oakwood has not seen fit to be of service.
Their customer service stinks !!
As much as I love their homes, I would not have bought one if I had known that I would have this kind of problem.
Would I recommend Oakwood to friends, family etc..? Definitely not !!

Oakwood decided to not build in Nebraska any longer. We along with a few others were under contract and had given our deposit to them. They said because the building process was not started (ground hadn't been broken) they would not be able to continue. They did offer to reimburse the deposit at 100% but that still puts us in a bind considering our current house is on the market to sell. I asked what their plans were for the lots they own but aren't going to be building on, would those people that were under contract like us have first dibs on purchasing the lot they had picked out originally? Oakwood said they weren't sure yet! I feel that's the least they can do. Beware of this company, they seem to be very nice and helpful but obviously have some financial management issues leaving the consumer with nothing as an end result.
