(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
Complaint about the shower filed on Nov 18thIssue still not fixed

We had an appointment scheduled for Dec 7th to meet with both Kathy and Clay to go over the issues with the houseKathy canceled the meeting the night before

I was advised on Dec 6th by Kathy P*** that ServPro would be calling me directly to set up an appointment for them to come re-grout the entire showerAs of today ( a week later), I still have not received a call
I feel that Oakwood is doing everything they can to just pass time until the
yr warranty expires on the houseIt has been over a month since I brought this issue to their attention and they still haven't taken even the first step to get it fixedThey are full of empty promises

To Whom It May Concern:
Oakwood Homes of Eden has been working to remedy every situation that the customer has sent to usDue to scheduling conflicts with the customer and with our service department it has been difficult to service their home in a timely mannerWe accept responsibility that some of the work has not been done in a timely manner nor to my standardsI inherited the issues upon coming to this location as managerCustomer limited the contractors I could send to her home, which I understand, it just meant that I had to pay another contractor to fix the same problem instead of holding the original contractor responsibleThe major issues she has had with her home are drywall related, drywall is not a warranted item from the factory nor our home centerMr and Mrs *** were made aware of that after I came to this storeIn her resolution she has requested that someone other than Oakwood Homes finish the last portion of her service, I have already contacted a third party service company to take care of thatAgain, her husband works nights every other week and that has limited the time we can contact and get to their home for repairs
Following the last repairs on her home which included painting her entire living room, a part of her kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms, I sent a cleaning crew to her home to clean her home from ceiling to floorPrior to the last issues that came about due to not being repaired properly, I went to Lowe's and purchased a really nice person swing with canopy as an olive branch- her response- "where am I supposed to put that?" To say we haven't made an effort to repair her home would be an out right lie, I have tried many ways to satisfy their needsI will not give up until its completedI can assure you that we will remedy all of the complaints

Our experience with Oakwood Homes has a few good points but for the most part this has been a nightmare! We have been going through hell for months now trying to get our house set up. We found someone to clear land but when it was time they were too busy. Oakwood hired someone and they left 2 giant piles of debris that we are supposed to burn. Can't burn though because it is too close to houses on either side of us! After going round and round with this they agreed to remove the piles but want us to pay half the cost. I have caught them a couple of times lying to me. The house has been sitting for a few months on thier site waiting for our property to be ready and everything is at a standstill. I keep going to check on progress and nothing is being done. Always some excuse! If I could cancel it all now I would!

Cecilia Hyland Here,
I know just seeing my name, surely makes all of you ill.
No need
Everywhere I look I see things in my Oakwood home that wouldn't be here without the care, thoughtfulness, and kindness of
Keith, Maceo, Andy and Mike.
Large things: New driveways, pretty trees, superior landscaping (what do I know), and just so many other things.
These are relationships which had their rough times. We all worked together, along with Oakwood to make adjustments and heal the relationships.
How does Maceo keep up and be sincere with everyone as he is?
How can Mike even look at t he Hyland's? He can, and is a friend now.
I just don't know how to ever thank
Andy for his sincerity, knowledge, patients and kindness.
When they print the word patience in he dictionary ( do they still print those?), there will be a picture of Andy.
Keith has always been a great landscaper and has sincerely helped us. Such a wonderful man.
Previously we built a large, expensive, customer home in Florida.
Our Oakwood home is better built, half the money and the staff is far superior.
Please see that the named folks receive copies of this along with our thanks.
I Remain,
Cecilia Hyland

Review: My house burned down and I purchased and paid in full a new moduler home from Oakwood Homes. When I moved into my home I had no idea that they used a paint that was somewhat like a primer or flat paint and I was dissatisfied. I told the person who sold me the home that I wanted the paint to be redone and I have not received that service yet. I have complained and complained and I feel that as a full paying customer I should have what I asked for. I am very unhappy with it. I was recently told that they would give me a 500.00 check to get someone to repaint it and then sign some paper I suppose to say that I will not ask for more. I have not yet found anyone or any agency that will repaint my home for less than 1,000.00 and that is including labor. I am very unsatisfied.Desired Settlement: To either be given the 800.00 to get my paint job redone or to have the company do it all themselves. Either is good for me because right now I am very dissatisfied with this paint.
