This is true I did look at her online galleryMy photo's do not reflect the "style" of her online gallery I was shownPlease reference attachments one and two "Several weeks after after she received the final product, she began to complain about some of the photos and requested that I sent the unedited filesAs stated in the signed contract, “Images are edited at the photographers discretion and delivered files may not include all images shotThe photographer reserves the creative rights to edit and release only those deemed credible as professional in quality and within the photographer’s artistic standards. All photos taken will not be released.” - I received the photo's in the mail on Friday 10/I viewed the photo's on 10/due to being out of townI showed friends and family and other photographers the pictures before I sent Oakwood my complaints I emailed Oakwood on 11/about my dissatisfactionI will not respond on what her contract states being that this is in my attorneys handsI will however state that "good" business practice is if your customer is unsatisfied you find a way to satisfy them especially in the service industry being that referrals are the base of your business"Despite the fact that Oakwood Photography met its contractual obligations, we offered to take another look at the photos she was complaining about, but she declined." Please reference attachment fourNext I will address the uncontrollable circumstancesNo one was ever in her way during any photo opportunityIf she missed a photo it was due to her own faultShe states right in this comment that she could be distracted due to her assistant photographing herLastly she was photographing her assistant also during the time I was paying her to photograph my weddingPlease see attachment fiveThis statement shows the lack of professionalism that Oakwood Photography displays"The bride also mentions a photo of the venue posted to Facebook- this was a cell phone photo taken for my personal Facebook pageThere were several photos taken with my professional camera that she received that are almost identical to the one posted on Facebook." - This whole statement proves the whole point behind this complaintOakwood admits to using a cell phone during a time they were contracted to photograph my wedding, holding back quality photo's from a paying client (Above she states that she will not release any photos she does not feel are up to her quality standardsThis photo was good enough to make it to her own personal Facebook but not up to her quality to give to the paying client?!?!) (I paid for every photo they took, the equipment the photo is taken with does not matter), Taking photo's for her own personal use during the contracted time of my wedding, and missing photo's due to using a cell phone for her own personal useHow many other photo's did Oakwood take during the contracted time, for their own personal use, are they keeping from me? Or how many photo's did Oakwood miss due to using cell phones or professional cameras to take photos for her own personal use? As for the photo on her personal Facebook being comparable to the photo I receivedThey are not alikeThe photo on her personal Facebook is much better quality than the photo I receivedPlease reference Attachment six (the photo she posted to her personal Facebook) and Attachment number seven (the photo I received)6." Finally, the bride mentions that I have ignored her attorneyMy attorney advised me to wait for a certified letter and all I have received from her attorney was one voicemail." - This is also a lieMy attorney has emailed her, left a voicemail, and sent a certified latterShe is indeed ignoring the requestThis statement proves not only the that Oakwood photography lies, but that they have no respect for the lawPlease reference attachment eightThis is the letter from my attorney to Oakwood with the certified letter numbers being referencedMy hope is to educate others about Oakwood Photography and their practices so that no one else has their memories ruinedOr have to go thru the hassle and money of attorneys and court just to get what they paid for in the first placeRegards, [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
I do not need a response back from Oakwood after this. I am just filing this complaint for the use of the Revdex.com and others out there so they do not get into the situation I am in.
I would like to point these things out in Oakwood's letter.
1. "In response to this bride’s complaint, I state that I was hired by this bride and groom after she had the opportunity to preview my style of photography on my online gallery. She and her fiancé signed a contract (dated 08/16/2014) and it was reviewed at a meeting prior their wedding date." This is true I did look at her online gallery. My photo's do not reflect the "style" of her online gallery I was shown. Please reference attachments one and two.
2. "Several weeks after after she received the final product, she began to complain about some of the photos and requested that I sent the unedited files. As stated in the signed contract, “Images are edited at the photographers discretion and delivered files may not include all images shot. The photographer reserves the creative rights to edit and release only those deemed credible as professional in quality and within the photographer’s artistic standards. All photos taken will not be released.” -  I received the photo's in the mail on Friday 10/17. I viewed the photo's on 10/21 due to being out of town. I showed friends and family and other photographers the pictures before I sent Oakwood my complaints.  I emailed Oakwood on 11/11 about my dissatisfaction. I will not respond on what her contract states being that this is in my attorneys hands. I will however state that "good" business practice is if your customer is unsatisfied you find a way to satisfy them especially in the service industry being that referrals are the base of your business3. "Despite the fact that Oakwood Photography met its contractual obligations, we offered to take another look at the photos she was complaining about, but she declined." This is an outright lie. Please see attachment three. This is the only email you send back to me. She never states this in the email.
4. "The final photos provided reflected the style shown in my portfolio. Per contract, not all shots are guaranteed and Oakwood Photography is not held accountable for any missed shots due to uncontrollable circumstances. The bride mentions my fiance. He is my assistant and is there to carry equipment and it is customary for him to document photos of me working. " Again please see attachments one and two for her "style" comparison. I will first bring up the "assistant", no where in the contract does it state that the assistant will be following her around to take pictures of her during the time I am paying Oakwood to capture my wedding. Nor was this communicated to me during the meeting. I would have never agreed to this. If all the assistant was there for was to be an assistant why was he taking pictures of myself and others that day? Please reference attachment four. Next I will address the uncontrollable circumstances. No one was ever in her way during any photo opportunity. If she missed a photo it was due to her own fault. She states right in this comment that she could be distracted due to her assistant photographing her. Lastly she was photographing her assistant also during the time I was paying her to photograph my wedding. Please see attachment five. This statement shows the lack of professionalism that Oakwood Photography displays.
5. "The bride also mentions a photo of the venue posted to Facebook- this was a cell phone photo taken for my personal Facebook page. There were several photos taken with my professional camera that she received that are almost identical to the one posted on Facebook." - This whole statement proves the whole point behind this complaint. Oakwood admits to using a cell phone during a time they were contracted to photograph my wedding, holding back quality photo's from a paying client (Above she states that she will not release any photos she does not feel are up to her quality standards. This photo was good enough to make it to her own personal Facebook but not up to her quality to give to the paying client?!?!) (I paid for every photo they took, the equipment the photo is taken with does not matter), Taking photo's for her own personal use during the contracted time of my wedding, and missing photo's due to using a cell phone for her own personal use. How many other photo's did Oakwood take during the contracted time, for their own personal use, are they keeping from me? Or how many photo's did Oakwood miss due to using  cell phones or professional cameras to take photos for her own personal use?  As for the photo on her personal Facebook being comparable to the photo I received. They are not alike. The photo on her personal Facebook is much better quality than the photo I received. Please reference Attachment six (the photo she posted to her personal Facebook) and Attachment number seven (the photo I received). 6." Finally, the bride mentions that I have ignored her attorney. My attorney advised me to wait for a certified letter and all I have received from her attorney was one voicemail." - This is also a lie. My attorney has emailed her, left a voicemail, and sent a certified latter. She is indeed ignoring the request. This statement proves not only the that Oakwood photography lies, but that they have no respect for the law. Please reference attachment eight. This is the letter from my attorney to Oakwood with the certified letter numbers being referenced. My hope is to educate others about Oakwood Photography and their practices so that no one else has their memories ruined. Or have to go thru the hassle and money of attorneys and court just to get what they paid for in the first place. Regards,

Review: I hired Oakwood Photography to take pictures of my wedding. The pictures are awful. Most of the pictures have flaws whether it is too dark, too light, grainy, off centered, blown out, cut off, or crooked. There is a lot missing. Like my main of honor and best man leaving the ceremony and entering the reception. I have few guest pictures. They ruined all the pictures on the dance floor because she was shooting right into one on the DJ's lights so the light blocks out the people. I have no close ups at all they are all far away shoots. She took pictures of herself and her boyfriend during the time I was paying her and posted them to Facebook. They did not give me pictures from the wedding that I paid for (She posted a picture of the venue to her facebook but did not give it to me) I reached out to them and asked for the untouched originals and they declined. They have ignored my attorney.Desired Settlement: Revdex.com and consumer information only.
