Dear Revdex.com,I am responding to the recent complaint. [redacted] had contacted me late on a Monday evening. She had told me another plumber gave her my name because they couldn't get to it. I had explained to her I also could not get to it that night.  This was not a big deal since they had another...

bathroom.  [redacted] had explained to me that her son was taking the toilet off. I had told her to make sure that she plugged the pipe so the sewer gas would not come into the house. At this time I had told her she would be looking around $150 for installing a toilet supplied by them and some basic materials such as wax ring johnny bolts etc. and half hour labor not an hour. The hour was if I was going to pull the toilet and it would of been more.  [redacted] had explained she would pick up the toilet I had mentioned I could get a reasonably good toilet for her for around $160. Our conversation had ended there with her to call me back whether or not she would have the toilet or if I needed to pick one up.Around 6:30 - 7pm I was contacted by [redacted] that she indeed picked up her own toilet but she was concerned that there would be a problem because the closet collar was above the floor a lot. I explained to her I was in her area and was leaving a prior commitment and would come over and look at it. I was at [redacted]'s house within 10 minutes. We went and looked at her concern with the closet collar. It was close to 3/4" above the floor. I explained it to her that the price I quoted was no longer accurate. I would be as efficient as possible.  At this time she asked if there was anything they could do to help. I had told here that if she would take the toilet out of the box and get into the basement this would help save time. This was a 15-20 minute conversation. I had set it up to be at her house in the morning.The next morning I was on time. I started by removing the old collar and the other material from inside pipe, cut the pipe flush with the concrete floor and installed and anchored new collar to concrete. I then finished installing toilet and made adjustments.I believe I was nothing but professional. I had moved my scheduled day to fit [redacted] in that morning to accommodate her.  Please see attachment of Invoice. The work that was stated (cutting of the pipe was not performed) nor on the invoice. I am only interested in settling this as quoted prior to work being done. I will be satisfied with no complaints if reimbursed the overage.
