Review: In August 2013, Oasis Decks, LLC completed installation of elevated wood deck, screened porch under deck and paver patio beneath deck and extending areas. [redacted] Harper, owner, during verbal negotiation assured us that he used only the highest quality wood for all portions of deck construction. He also stated that the supporting base materials he would use for paver construction met or exceeded requirements to support surface on which to place pavers to create level pavers patio.

Within weeks post completion, many wood boards used in deck construction began to split, some as wide as 3/16". The paver patio also had many pavers that began to sink by inches. After numerous email exchanges, finally in December 2013 Oasis Decks, LLC, repaired the patio paver situation. In only a couple of weeks post that repair, the pavers began to sink again and additional pavers began sinking to the same or deeper depths. An email was sent to Oasis Decks, LLC, owner [redacted] on Mar 11, 2014 stating the paver problems continue to occur. No response was received from Oasis Decks, LLC on how to proceed to resolve this issue. In addition to the paver patio problems, we would like resolution concerning the many splitting wood problems used for deck constructionDesired Settlement: We would like Oasis Decks, LLC to repair the paver patio to a quality that the pavers will not sink and will be in alignment with and level to the other installed pavers and the top of the retaining wall without causing damage to the existing pavers. Additionally, we would like boards used in the deck construction that are split to be replaced with quality wood as discussed in our negotiations with [redacted] Harper, Oasis Decks, LLC owner. If Oasis Decks, LLC is unable or unwilling to make these repairs, we would like Oasis Decks to pay for a company of our choosing to complete this project to our satisfaction.
