First of all, the complaint was filled on October and here we are seeing this complaint for the first time on December I don't understand how that happened The only issue Mrs [redacted] had was that the one jet was not working right on the last message we had First time to hear about the deck issue The homeowner did pay to have a different base and rebar put in under the inch slab of concrete We did in fact put the gravel base which was inches with rebar instead of mess wire and the concrete is inches on top of that making it inches of base and concrete I told the homeowner that no matter what you down the concrete will crack, it's a given with the ground movement we have here in this black dirtB Foundations are poured inches thick and they still crack We than put flagstone on the concrete deck, which we can go back and fix the grout that has cracked but can not guarantee the cracks will not come back We can also fix the one jet which is probably clogged or filter may be dirty since it has lost pressure Also during construction we do use an excavator to dig the hole, so yes the ground will get messed up a little It is stated on our contracts It was a tight fit and we did our best to get in and out Also the fire pit was a inch fire pit outside diameter, which is what it is So yes we can go back and fix the one jet and grout no problem!

Complaint: [redacted] We originally opened a claim against Oasis Pools back in October of 2016, claim # 11793420, on December 9, Mr [redacted] agreed to repair the work that needed to be done He finally sent a few people out in January and February for a total of part time days, but the work has still not been completed even with repeated requests to come to finish We called many, many, times, but Mr [redacted] has never answered his phone We followed up with text messages, to which he only returned a few text messages and the ones he has responded to he always says,"we will try and make it out this week but I cannot promise anything", of course never showing up Needless to say it is very hard to get the repairs done when Mr [redacted] will not communicate or hold to his word This company has been extremely difficult to work with and a lot of things were not done according to plan or drawings I feel that after waiting for a year and months to get this fixed and months after he finally agreed to do so, at this point if he cannot get it completed I just want to get a portion of our money back to have it completed by a competent contractor and save us from anymore loss time and frustration With the repairs that still need to be done and the over 3" of standing water that sits outside of our back door and up against the foundation of our house because the flagstone patio was not leveled correctly, along with other work that was not done correctly from the start, we need $5,to hire another contractor who will make the necessary repairs It is truly ridiculous how he runs a business by making empty promises to correct poor workmanship, not responding to calls or texts In conclusion, we would like Mr [redacted] to simply refund us enough to hire a competent contractor to make the necessary repairs described above If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via e-mail Thank you, *** [redacted]

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me We accept that he will repair failing grout, grout the cracks and repair the non functioning jetMuch of the original grout has dried to the top of the flagstone as well which needs to be cleaned. However, a few other points of fact where work was not done in accordance with the contract, base added was only 2.5" instead of agreed 4", and concrete was 3.25" instead of 4" total was 5.75" instead of agreed 8" total which we took measurements and have pictures for proof In addition, the fireplace is clearly shown on the final drawing to be 48" inside diameter and we discussed at length before the crew installed it incorrectly at which time we were told it could not be changedLastly, have more than 2" of standing water outside our door that needs an elevation correction so that the water drains properly and not against the house

We took care of everything they wanted and said everything looks good now Thank you! I know it took long but it's all done

First of all, the complaint was filled on October 28 and here we are seeing this complaint for the first time on December 6.   I don't understand how that happened.  The only issue Mrs. [redacted] had was that the one jet was not working right on the last message we had.  First time to...

hear about the deck issue.  The homeowner did pay to have a different base and rebar put in under the 4 inch slab of concrete.   We did in fact put the gravel base which was 6 inches with rebar instead of mess wire and the concrete is 4 inches on top of that making it 10 inches of base and concrete.  I told the homeowner that no matter what you down the concrete will crack, it's a given with the ground movement we have here in this black dirt. B Foundations are poured 12 inches  thick and they still crack.   We than put flagstone on the concrete deck, which we can go back and fix the grout that has cracked but can not guarantee the cracks will not come back.  We can also fix the one jet which is probably clogged or filter may be dirty since it has lost pressure.   Also during construction we do use an excavator to dig the hole, so yes the ground will get messed up a little.  It is stated on our contracts.  It was a tight fit and we did our best to get in and out.   Also the fire pit was a 48 inch fire pit outside diameter, which is what it is.  So yes we can go back and fix the one jet and grout no problem!

We originally opened a claim against Oasis Pools back in October of 2016, claim # 11793420, on December 9, 2016 Mr. [redacted] agreed to repair the work that needed to be done.  He finally sent a few people out in January and February for a total of 3 part time days, but the work has still not been completed even with repeated requests to come to finish.       We called many, many, times, but Mr. [redacted] has never answered his phone.  We followed up with text messages, to which he only returned a few text messages and the ones he has responded to he always says,"we will try and make it out this week but I cannot promise anything", of course never showing up.        Needless to say it is very hard to get the repairs done when Mr. [redacted] will not communicate or hold to his word.        This company has been extremely difficult to work with and a lot of things were not done according to plan or drawings.        I feel that after waiting for a year and 4 months to get this fixed and 4 months after he finally agreed to do so, at this point if he cannot get it completed I just want to get a portion of our money back to have it completed by a competent contractor and save us from anymore loss time and frustration.        With the repairs that still need to be done and the over 3" of standing water that sits outside of our back door and up against the foundation of our house because the flagstone patio was not leveled correctly, along with other work that was not done correctly from the start,  we need  $5,000 to hire another contractor who will make the necessary repairs.  It is truly ridiculous how he runs a business by making empty promises to correct poor workmanship, not responding to calls or texts.     In conclusion, we would like Mr. [redacted] to simply refund us enough to hire a competent contractor to make the necessary repairs described above.     If you have any questions please feel free to contact me via e-mail.                    Thank you,              [redacted]  [redacted]

I am rejecting this response because:It seems to us that Oasis pools is now failing to acknowledge that the fact of the matter is that the water wall feature still leaks after three failed attempts to repair. The first item I’d like bring to their attention and correct the record is that the job superintendent has only inspected the water wall feature one time, which was after the third failed attempt to repair the leaks. During this visit [redacted], the job superintendent, turned on the water wall feature himself and witnessed the leaks inside the water wall feature. [redacted] then took pictures of the leaks and acknowledged the leaks. [redacted] then manipulated the main return flow valve and the water wall feature valve for a flow of water to the water wall feature to his satisfaction and then departed with instructions to wait for a couple of hours and send him some pictures. [redacted] was on site for this inspection for one hour. Oasis pools cannot say that we had the water wall feature on prior to the only visit of the job superintendent, [redacted]. The one photo sent to [redacted] on that day clearly shows that the water wall feature was still leaking, and his comment back was "It looks like it’s not leaking", however no one from Oasis Pools returned to visually inspect the water wall feature that day. Oasis Pools is now saying that an insignificant amount of water to get their desired effect will not cause the water wall feature to leak. As stated before [redacted] manipulated the valve system for a flow of water to the water wall feature to his desired level. The settings that [redacted] manipulated would not allow us to use the other two features to their full capacity. Additionally with [redacted]’ desired settings, he manipulated, would only allow 1/3 of the water wall feature length to have water flowing from the feature. With the settings [redacted] set to his desired levels, the water wall feature still continues to leak. If intentions was to have limited water flow to the water wall feature then there should be a separate valve to meet what Oasis pools is now saying the water flow should be. Before any construction began, we requested a breakdown of all the costs of each feature and the email we received listed the water wall feature at $1500.00, with Oasis pools reply to Revdex.com that the water wall feature installed was $746.00, I would ask why there is such a large difference on charges from the ones provided to us and what they are quoting now.Oasis pools only notified us on 5 July 2016, via email and USPS, that their desired amount of water flow to the water feature after three failed attempts to fix the leaks in the water wall feature and the one visit to inspect the water wall feature. We replied, via email and registered USPS, with our desired resolution to the leaks in the water wall feature and Oasis pools did not respond within two weeks which brought us to Revdex.com. Oasis Pools continues to admit the fact that the water wall feature still leaks but is refusing to fix the leaks. However we would like to offer two ways in which to remedy the leaks in the water wall feature. Our preferred choice is for Oasis Pools to fix the water wall feature to our satisfaction and as promised from the initial inspection from Oasis pools inspector or a full refund of $2000.00 we contracted for the water feature and time we had to wait for the stone Mason to arrive on three occasions, for this resolution Oasis Pools would ensure any water in the line to the water wall is extricated, cap off both ends of the pipes, and fill in the space under the top layer of stone with mortar.
