Oasis Relaxation Systems Reviews (1)

Review: On November 25, 2013 I sent a bank wire transfer for $9,300 to a San Diego firm to purchase a Float Tank. The name of the firm: Oasis Relaxation Systems P.O. Box 15669 San Diego, CA 92175 - [redacted]1 I assumed that the Float Tank would be sent immediately. Since that time I have received one excuse after the other and assurances that the Float Tank is Crated and ready for shipment. But he never ships it, he just makes excuse after excuse. I have asked for a return of money but no money has been refunded. Now he states that he will not refund all of the money for reasons which I deem to be fraudulent. He states I cost him money. Can you assist me in this matter?Desired Settlement: I just wish for him to return my money via bank wire transfer. I can supply the bank wire transfer form for the money which I sent to him.

Dear [redacted]/Revdex.com-The complaint has been settled and the situation is resolved. The customer and I resolved this matter 2/3/14, the unit was picked up 2/5/14, and will be shipping to him shortly in Panama.I submit my following response as a truthful account of my experience with this customer....We endeavored to get customer's order on way to him asap.A number of delays occurred. Customer was very impatient by his own admission in his emails. We attempted to communicate with customer as best as possible, esp when we had best info to share with him....My response to customer's complaint, in greater detail, appears below....[redacted]In response to Complaint by customer, I offer the following: Customer was interested in purchasing a used unit... I informed customer that only used unit available required cosmetic repair and would be outfitted with ALL NEW equipment, which would take a minimum of 2 weeks to repair, and order and consolidate equipment, and approximately 1 week to have crated for ocean shipment. When I quoted him initial time frame, I expected a much faster completion of tank cosmetics than took place. That things took longer than initially expected is obvious now, but was not known at the time. The cosmetic repair was delayed in its beginning and completion, but was restored to beautiful condition. The Christmas and New Year's holidays added to the time process.... Once unit was ready for crating, there was a lag time of a few days on part of crating company to arrive to build crate. Another delay was caused by crating company building a much larger crate than wanted, adding a fee of $600 extra to shipping fee [an additional large charge to me, and not something I could request from customer....] I then tried to have the crating company re-do the crate to bring it back to its 'proper size'. This added about 1 week delay.... Ultimately, it was decided to leave it as is, that I would send it at more expensive cost of $600 to myself. I was willing to pay it cuz the time frame was increasing and wanted to get unit on way to customer. [I also added a spare pump to unit at no cost for customer as goodwill gesture for the delay...and communicated this to customer] Once unit ready for shipment, awaiting finalization of paperwork, I advised customer He wrote complaining and demanding his money back, just as we were ready to ship. This stopped the process. After many attempts to advise shipment, and his requests for refund, I advised him 2/3/14 that I would refund his money, but as we built the crate for him, we wanted that fee to be deducted from refund of his monies. He called that morning leaving a voicemail on answering service. I called him immediately and after speaking with him [after he filed complaint with Revdex.com], it was decided we would send him his order. During the call, I explained all delays involved and that I had his best interests at heart, that I attempted to communicate with him on a timely basis, trying to get order completed and sent in a timely manner for his sake [and ours]. As said, this matter has been resolved as of 2/3/14, unit was picked up from factory 2/5/14 and is on its way to him. We expected faster repair, outfitting, crating, and shipment of order, we endeavored to communicate with customer as best as possible, and apologize for any frustrations created....delays occurred and we endeavored to attend to them asap... I received an email from customer stating he misunderstood the timeframe I will send it along in separate email The matter is now satisfactorily resolved

Response:

I suspect that the business, Oasis Systems of San Diego sent the item purchased only as a result of my complaint to the Revdex.com. His written response is very biased and selective. None-the-less I have called the 'shipping company' and indeed they are shipping something to me with an ETA of 9 March 2014. I have no idea what the condition is of the item being sent. I know I will not be returning it even if the item is faulty, due to the cost of return shipping. Dealing with the principal of Oasis System, Mr. [redacted] has been a nightmare. He has consistently lied and made misrepresentations since November 2013. He stated in January 2014 that the unit was crated and ready to ship. Nothing was shipped and I suspect that nothing was crated. It was he who delayed until I asked for a refund and then he demanded money for various things which he claimed he had added to the system and for costs accrued, and still he would not send the unit nor refund my money even though I quite clearly stated they he either ship the unit or refund my money. This continued until I contacted the Revdex.com after which he called me and stated that it was all a mistake, he had delays, he would ship my until immediately, etc.

I do wish to close the complaint, I will not do anything even if the unit is faulty. I sent him money in November 2013, there was no talk of delays, and then I received one excuse after the other for 3 months. I no longer care if I get the unit or not. Dealing with Mr. [redacted] is one of the worst experiences I've had in decades. I want to forget that I was stupid enough to trust his company and send him $9,300, as far as I'm concerned he is dishonest and uses payments received to fund other projects. There is information on the internet which says as much.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved.
