Hello Mr***, Thank you for your feedback Our number one focus here at Oates Energy is to try to provide our customers with the best customer service experience possible Please allow me the opportunity to respond to your concerns Oates Energy is a utility billing company for apartment and condo communities Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) bills Campus Pointe the master utility bill Oates Energy bills the resident for their individual usage to reimburse the community for the Gainesville Regional Utility bill Your unit is individually meter and the meters are read each month to determine your actual water usage Our rates are based upon GRU’s rate structure and the master utility bill We have waived all three late fees that have been applied, leaving your account with a credit of $ We do have payment options in which a convenience fee will not be assessed auto draft through a checking accountmailing a check or a money orderbill pay through your bank’s website Please contact our customer service at ###-###-#### and we can further assist you in finding a payment option that best meets your needs

The property inspected your unit for leaks on Feb 13th, It was determined that a toilet flapper was bad and was causing your toilet to continually run thus causing your bill to increase

Our number one focus at Oates Energy is to provide our customers
with a positive customer service experience
Thank you for allowing us the opportunity to respond to your
concerns
We have had the opportunity to review your
account. You
are charged for water and sewer based on a program called RUBS, which stands
for Residential Utility Billing Service. Under the RUBS billing method,
your water and sewer monthly charges are a percentage of the total water and
sewer bill received by your apartment community each month. These water
and sewer charges, as detailed in your lease agreement with your community, are
your home’s estimated individual usage based on the size and number of people
living in your home as a percentage of the entire communities livable square
footage and total number of actual residents As such, this bill can vary
from month to month based on the actual monthly water and sewer charges to the
overall community. The water and sewer provider to this community does
have annual rate increases that can have an effect on Bermuda Estate’s overall
water and sewer bill. These rate increases can cause your individual
water and sewer bill to increase as a result.

Energy Incis a third party billing company that is hired by Laurel Hills to
bill for water and sewer chargesThe billing method used to bill the residents
is what we call a Ratio Utility BillingWhat this means is that the master
utility bill the property receives is divided amount residents based upon
occupants and square feet of their unitIt will not be based upon your
individual consumption
Your
bill will fluctuate based on how much water the entire community
uses.
The
reason why the sewer portion of your bill is higher is due to the cost of
cleaning and processing the water
We
were also notified that a balance for $was still owed to Minol (the
previous billing company)If you have paid this balance please send us proof
of payment and we will adjust the amount on our system

We would like to take the
opportunity to respond to your concerns.
In February of 2016, Oates Energy
Incmerged with *** ***
We received a payment in the
amount of $on 05/02/thus giving you a credit on
the
account. A bill went out on 05/16/in the amount of 25.72. This
left you with a credit of 13.89. Your current bill went out on 6/14/
in the amount of minus the credit your current balance is due
on 07/01/
You do not have any late payments
on your account and actually carried over a credit balance from ***.
We have attached a copy of your
resident statement for you to review.
Please make sure you update the
address you are sending your payments to:

I am rejecting this response because I would like an actual, individual reading for my unit.  I do believe the monthly charges are too much and are estimated.Thank you for the bill payment record, and I look forward to my "actual" usage from January 2016 to June 2016.

We actually have several ways for customers to pay their invoice without a fee. Aside from mailing in a check, customers can enroll in our free automatic ACH withdrawal program, or they can submit an online bill payment through their bank’s website. A fee is only charged for an immediate credit...

card or electronic check payment – this is a legal and commonly accepted practice among businesses, and waived for any customer who visits us in the office. Because Michael was not aware of our other free payment methods, we would be happy to apply a one time credit of $48 for the credit card processing fees he paid in the past. We hope Michael will contact us directly in the future to give us the opportunity to respond to any questions or concerns – we are here to help!
