AVOID THIS DOCTOR AT ALL COSTSShe briefly had an office in Breckenridge, Colorado, where unfortunately I began seeing her as a patientLong story short, she performed a surgery on my uterus, which I have since had other medical professionals in the area tell me was questionable and probably unnecessaryMy insurance covered the surgery in full, but as for the in-office appoints and fees directly owed to her, I was responsible to remit paymentI always paid my co-pay and bill at the time of check outI was up to date on what I owed and never paid anything late at that pointI did this and eventually stopped going to her due to the unprofessional environment of the office and Dr------'s apparent unstable conditionBy this I mean I showed up to the office for several appointmentsAlmost every time the front desk lady had to call her and remind her she had an appointmentTWO different time she showed up appearing to be flustered and intoxicated in some mannerAnother time, I showed up on time for my appointment and there was no one at the deskAs I waited, for about a half, I could hear her around the corner of the hall lividly screaming at one of her nurses - something about a prescription that she had called in that the pharmacy had turned down - a conversation that obviously should not have been held in the presence of a clientOne time, her nurse assistant led me back to the treatment room, accidentally taking me to the wrong room, which was set up as someone's personal living quarters with two beds, a tv, kitchen setup, and her children locked away in the room with their toysHer kids were almost always at the office and she would frequently interrupt appointments to go reprimand themBut these things were not even the main issueAlmost a year later, I received a bill with new charges that apparently got missed in my bill a year beforeThe new billing lady claimed that the previous billing lady had stolen money from them and screwed up client files and that was the reason for my delayed billAfter looking over my bill, I noticed some charges for vaccinations and office visits that I know I did not request or receiveWhen I called to speak to the doctor and have her explain the charges, the billing lady said the doctor would be out of town for a couple weeks and that I immediately needed to pay the bill in full that day or be sent to collectionsI explained to her that I would go on and pay what I thought was the correct amount, but that I wanted to speak to her before paying the rest of the bill, because I believed it was incorrectThe billing lady said that partial payment wasn't an option and that the doctor wouldn't put up with me being a "sneaky ***" and hung upWeeks went by and never received a call backBut I did receive an incredibly lengthy and angry text message from the doctor accusing me of demanding free care and taking advantage of herI responded to the text and felt like I would prefer to speak with her in person at her office and that I was not trying to skip out on my bill, but that I simply had some questions about its accuracy and the treatments she had performedShe texted back that it was "too late" and nothing moreWhen I tried to call her numerous times, she never answered and her voice mail box was always fullAfter speaking to my accountant, I was recommended to just let the bill go to collections so that I could fight it in a way that could get an outside company involved in the detailsAfter a couple months of not receiving any new bill or contact from a collections agency, I decided to try contacting the office again and offer to pay what I thought was the correct amount owedThe number was disconnectedI went to the office in person, but it no longer existedNeighboring office said she didn't know the details, but that she had cleared things out and moved to Florida weeks beforeI tried over the course of this last year to find out where she was so I could make a payment and get my medical records, but no luckFinally, this last May I receive a bill requesting me to remit payment to ------- LLC in Florida, a medical spa/cosmetic surgery officeI have never received services at this office and never even been to this town in Florida, why would I send a check there? I called and left a message and also emailed trying to find out why my initial bills requested payment to OB-GYN Specialists, and now suddenly I was supposed to pay a completely separate business in a different stateI also let them know that I was about to be going to Europe for the summer and wanted to take care of this firstNo one got back to meJust another bill in the mail with "Late" stamped all over itThen, my mother, who lives in Missouri, and who has never been held responsible for my bills, gets a call from an unknown number, but who claimed to be ------'s billing lady, demanding that she pay my bill in full plus late feesMy mother was only listed as an emergency contact (for medical emergencies, not financial) and should not have been contacted regarding paymentsShe told them she didn't know anything about what they were talking about, which she didn't, and that they would need to contact me directlyI never got a callThen this week, she woke up to missed calls from a Florida number, the -------- officeWhen she called back a women who seemed to be drunk or high (words slurring, but talking very loud and fast) immediately call her a number of profanities and said that she would make her pay $(even the incorrect bill with late fees was only $1,316) if she had to come down the herself and make her payMy mom was outraged and asked to speak to the doctor, but the woman responded saying that she was the doctor------ seemed to think that she was talking to me instead of my mother and accused my mother of lying and pretending to be someone elseAnd that if she didn't pay right then, she "would hunt her down and destroy her and her business"(referring to me) and then hung upMy mom was terrifiedThis has seriously gotten out of handI have already called a lawyer, the Revdex.com, and I am currently filing a complaint with the Medical Board of ColoradoLike many others have said on here, Dr------ seemed like such a caring doctor when I first went to see her, and I am honestly sad that something has occurred in her life to cause such a dramatic downward spiralShe is not fit to be taking patients though and needs to be stopped
