I am a principal of Oby Lee Winery, and am writing to respectfully respond to complaint #***Complainant stated that she, along with her kids and husband came to my establishment on February 08,
[Agreed]Complainant stated 'owner threatened us.' [Denied]
In fact, I was so threatened myself that I immediately contacted and filed report #T*** with the Arlington County Police DepartmentApproved Permanent Case #***See Attached Exhibit (1.)
Complainant stated "No property was damaged by my kids'[Denied] w/Photos Concerned staff alerted my wife and I when complainant entered Oby Lee Winery after evening hours with approxfive minor children who ran into the posted 'Alcohol Bureau 21yrs, and older designated section and began playing with bottles of alcohol and related dangerous glass items, dismantling and breaking the age restricted signage, and jumping from the furnitureThe complainant and her male companion were seated at the opposite side of the building space and did not respond to the sound of broken glass, or the sight of the children climbing and jumping from the tables and chairsMy wife rushed to the assumed parents and alerted them that the children were in danger without supervision and needed to be removed from the age restricted alcohol area, and needed to be watchedThe assumed parents ignored the noticeSee attached photos of damage done by her childrenExhibits (2.) &(3) & (4)
As a parent of three little ones myself, I approached the assumed parents out of concern for the safety of the childrenComplainant stated that I called her children names[Denied] The actual conversation follows:Me: “Folks, there are unsupervised children in the wine bar that need to be removed from that area and attended to, are they with you?Complainant: "I think he is making us leave"
Male Companion: "Most people would not expect that children will just sit still in a businessKids will be kids!"
Me: "Most people would not expect parents to bring toddlers and little children to a fine wine bar at night and leave them unattended to break things and allow them to go wild like at the monkey house in a zoo."
Male Companion: (Shouting) "You will be sorry, you think this is damage, we (and friends) will destroy your business much more than this-and hurt you! I wish you luckyou will be lucky if you have a business when we get through with you"Repeated threats, etc| followed until the group was outside to make sure they exited without further incident
Claimant stated "wanted to fight with my husband" [Denied] To the contrary, as I was re-entering the building after they exited the far side of our outdoor patio, I asked them not to return.Male Companion shouted "you want to fight me now!"Claimant stated $purchases made[Denied] We were all so shaken by this experience, that I immediately voided every one of the four sales transactions, so no one in the claimant's party was ever charged anything for the food/items they received for free, nor for the losses we suffered in cledamagesSee all voided purchases-all food items comp.’dExhibit (5.)
I feel it is most important to note that: Today, just days after the claimant filed her report with the Revdex.com, a customer with the same name as claimants husband has just appeared on our caller ID at Oby Lee Winery when calling to place a $food purchase order, then customer came in to purchase the food with the same exact credit card name and account number as was used in the reported visitThis activity will be supplied as an addendum to the police reportExhibits(6) & (7)
