The owner of this company was very pushy until I finally agreed to try advertising with him. The agreement was I would try it for 3 months (Feb - April). We signed a basic contract and he did not point out any other terms and conditions. The owner did not follow the agreed upon process of approving the ad before it goes out after the first month. I contacted him in April and told him I was unhappy and needed to change the ad. I have not heard back from him since. I attempted to call his cell and company number several times, but received no response. He does not even have a company address it is a PO box. At this point, I had no idea the ad was still running and he stopped dropping off proofs after April. I was surprised to find out my credit card was charged for May and June.
I disputed the charge with my credit card company since he would not respond and he proceeded to point out that my contract auto renewed for another 3 months per terms and conditions on the back of the contract that he never mentioned or reviewed with me. He then proceeded to sue me for the month of August and September!! I have no proof that the magazine even went out. He also continued to run unauthorized ads for my business with expired promotions, which caused me additional hardship.
This owner and company are very unethical and he even admitted he sued over 9 business owners. Please review the other complaint, which had the same experience. Please STAY AWAY from this scammer. He is an unethical person who makes his money by preying on small businesses. I am appalled at how he continues to be in business. All small business owners please BEWARE and stay away from this man and company. There are a lot of professional and ethical advertising companies out there and this is NOT one of them.

Review: I have a contract with Restaurant Guide for 2 months, July and August, which are specified in the contract. On the first of August we spoke with [redacted] who came to drop-off proof for the publishing our ad for the month of August, regarding the discontinuation of our partnership. We advised [redacted] we no longer wanted their services. [redacted] left upset and advised to call him when he was in his office to proceed with the cancellation of service. We attempted to call like [redacted] had suggested, no answer. On September 1st our business account was charged another $745.00 by Restaurant Guide for the month of September. Since then we have not heard from [redacted], we attempted to call his cell phone and business number he had given us where we left countless voice mails. We sent e-mails and a certified letter. We also attempted going to his office for reimbursement of the unwanted service, which turned out to be a P.O. box in a UPS store. There we found Restaurant Guide magazines for the month of August where our add does not appear. [redacted] had dropped off "proof" of our ad publishing the month of July and August which he has not done for the month of September. He charged service for the month of September but refuses to communicate. We need reimbursement and verification for the services of July and August.Desired Settlement: I want further investigation for verification of service for the months on the contract. If he can not provide further verification, I then need reimbursement for the full amount on the contract. I also want reimbursement for the embezzlement of September 1st. If found guilty of everything accused, I need him to pay for any and all inconvenience he caused, including but not limited to: time consumption, fees due to insufficient funds, and foremost the aggravation caused by his attempt of theft.
