Review: During September, 2013 I contracted with [redacted], OCC Group to perform home renovation projects at my primary residence. These renovations included the demolition of a standing deck, the addition of a screened in porch, re-siding the structure and pouring a concrete patio with steps. The contract specified three dates where the agreed upon payment would be made. I honored those dates without hesitation. I even split the check into checks written in the name of the business and the name of the company. During the final inspections (after the payment was made), which occurred either at the end of September or beginning of October, [redacted] discovered a whole in the screening. He said it needed to be replaced. He also pointed out that the screen in this particular section was loose and not to his standard. He also identified the adjacent screening as not being to his standard, as it was loose as well. [redacted] said he would have someone come out and replace the two screens. I knew [redacted] outside of your business together and had no reason to believe it would not happen. I called and left several voice mails and several text messages with [redacted] about replacing the screens. I always got the answer that he would take care of it. In February 2014, [redacted] and his business partner came to my house and gave me a gift as a customer. [redacted] inquired about a potential bath renovation which I said I was going to delay. I again reminded [redacted] of the screens and also added that the concrete in the patio chipped and I was not pleased with that. [redacted] attempted to look at the chipped concrete, but due to snow fall, he was unable to see it. [redacted] related after the snow melted he would tint the chipped piece so that it would blend with the patio. It is now 21 October 2014 and even though he has responded to several text throughout the spring and summer, he has yet to fix the issues. Now, I have areas of the siding that are coming loose. After spending nearly $50,000 I would expect better service. Ironically, [redacted] uses the photo of my porch project as advertising material on his current web site.Desired Settlement: The desired outcome would be for [redacted] to follow through with his word and fix the issues. If that is not feasible, than I would want to hire a third part to repair the issues and bill [redacted] directly.
