Ocean 7

Review: In April 2015 I booked a 3 night stay for the end of May, beginning of June at Ocean 7 for my husbands birthday (June 1) and gave a deposit of $117.60 towards the total. Luckily for us, he found a better paid job probably a week after the booking was done, and after discussing the situation we decided to cancel our vacations for this year. He really didn't want to take off being that he was new, and didn't want to risk his employment. I called Ocean 7, and spoke with "[redacted]". I told him all of the above and he seemed to have understood me, assuring me I would get a refund in a couple of days for $102.60, since there was a $15 fee for cancellation. I told him I was ok with the $15 charge, and he said if I wanted to re book for the same year those $15 would be credited to my total. After months of waiting for my refund I finally decided to call them up. I did wait a lot, however when you have personal/ family problems you tend to forget things. I called Oct 5 trying to find out what had happened with my refund. "[redacted]" answered the phone and first he said my refund was issued, then after I told him I never received it, he stated my refund was not issued since the booking was charged as a "NO SHOW"! Like if I had a lot of money to give away. I told him I had cancelled my booking very early, because one, I knew we couldn't make it, and two I knew their cancellation policy. He seemed to have had a loss of memory, since he stated he never spoke with me, ever about the cancellation. I told him I remembered him, and he still denied speaking with me. I filed a claim, however they can only go back a certain time frame, and my issue had already past the time frame that allowed me to get my money back.

"[redacted]" seems to know how to play his role, when it comes to keeping customers money. He is very cynic and should not be allowed to continue to do this to customers, who at the end, a vacation thought becomes a night mare.Desired Settlement: Ocean 7 and "[redacted]" should not do this to customers. I did call to cancel my booking. I did speak with "[redacted]". I should get my money for the full amount.
