This letter is in response to a complaint filed against myself *** *** Owner and operator of Ocean Auto body, located in *** **On 4/23/*** *** brought her vehicle in for repairs on her driver's rear tail light and dentMs***'s vehicle was at the body shop for days
It was dropped off Sunday nightThe vehicle was brought inside the body shop on Monday Morning to begin repairsUpon completion we removed the vehicle from inside the shop to the parking lot located at the front of the shop for the client to pick upThe damage in question is related to hitting a parking curb( as seen in parking lots)There are no curbs anywhere on the propertyMs***'s complaint is that additional damage occurred to her vehicle while it was in my body shopWe repaired the rear tail light and dent and then as stated previously placed the vehicle in our parking lot to be picked upMs*** returned to the shop the following Monday after she picked up her vehicleAt the time she was very upset with some personal issues going onA family member had been in the hospital which would make anyone upsetI felt I was not able to have a conversation with her because of this issueI felt she was unwilling to listen to anything I had to sayIf you look at our property there is no place on our lot to do this kind of damage or even if we parked the car on the streetThe additional damage to Ms***'s vehicle that she reported to you was pre-existing

In April ** *** brought her white *** to my auto body shop,Ocean Auto Body, located in *** *** for repairWhile in the process of painting her vehicle the white paint did not match because of the cleanliness of the vehicle, being that the paint was very dirty and stained once
we buffed the adjacent panels to the repairs, the paint finally matchedPlease note that ** *** did not complain at all about the quality of the repairs that we performed on her vehicleAs a courtesy to the customer and to make the car look one color (not white and dirty white), we sent the vehicle out to be cleanedWe have been subcontracting with *** *** for years without incident or issueThey cleaned the inside and outside of her vehicleShe claims that we or *** *** used a solvent on her (command center) the only solvent used on her radio faceplate (command center) was *** is what *** *** uses to clean every car without issueWhat did become more visible were the war and rub marks on the screen from her own fingersI looked at this when she showed me, I check all the functionsEverything functioned correctly, the display was bright and properly coloredThe only difference was it was clean and shinyWith the car shut off the rub marks were visible this is the nature of her complaint..a pre existing condition** *** also complaint to her insurance company, *** ***Her claim handler *** *** whom I spoke with found her complaint to be ridiculousIt’s a shame that there isn’t a “BCA” Better Customer BureauAfter speaking with different businesses around town and a former Flagship motors service advisorThis is her reputationshe comes in for one thing then demand and complains about something else unrelated to whatever repar she brought her car in forIf you would like to talk to me further you can reach me at the shop ###-###-####
