Hello,
Please note that my issue has not been resolvedThey are telling a
completely different story now in their response I was never told by store that the
manufacture has discontinued the frame, I was always given an option to
fix the frame, which they were doing, but after several time of braking I
went back to the store asking them to replace the frame because it is
defectiveHesitantly but they agreed to replace the frame, I was given an
option to pick a frame so I picked a frame equivalent to the price of the
original purchase. They said I would have to pay extra for the new
lenses, however after a conversation with a salesperson it was agreed upon that
I would not have to
pay for the new lenses because of the inconvenience and hardship I had
endured with this frameHowever when I went to pick up the new frame they
charged me $for the replacement of the lenses
not for the frame.
My biggest issue is that not only they did not fix my issue they
charged me extra and they put in lenses that are not equivalent to the lenses I had originally paid forAs I
have mentioned in my initial complaint the lenses I had originally purchased were chameleon lensesThey would
change in the sun, but the replacement lenses that they charged me extra for do not have that option and top
of things the new frame broke as well after weeks of use
In regards to my old glasses which I had for several years that I gave
them to repair, they did fix and I paid $dollars for it and these are the glasses
I am wearing now because as mentioned above the “ new replacement frame” broken
as well
For resolution, I ask to please refund $to my card which consists
of my initial purchase of $and $that I paid extra for the lenses and I will
gladly return their replacement frame with the lenses
Please help me to resolve this issue
Best regards,

this is a response to this case, [redacted] has purchased from me in the past about 5 years ago. this time he came in with an Rx from an independent doctor. I provided this service for him as follows. I tried the Rx on him using a trial frame, I had put the proper lenses from the RX into...

my trial frame to make sure the RX is correct. we agreed on a ray ban frame that I had in my stock to have the new RX installed into. I proceeded to take my measurement and for the progressive lenses and provide a price for the completed job. after this was done [redacted] asked if can fix an old pair of glasses he had gotten from me years ago, I told him the frame is beyond repair and I could not help him with it.he insisted that I take the frame and try to fix it. I did not want to take the frame as I new that not only the frame could not be fixed I was afraid it would be misplaced due to a renovation we were in the middle of in our store. when the new glasses were completed we notified  [redacted] that he can come by anytime to collect the frame. when he picked up the glasses he did tell me that it did not feel perfect, but as with all new eyeglasses a chance to get adjusted to them would be required. as far as the old frame, I and my staff looked everywhere for this broken unrepairable frame to no a due. to provide satisfaction for the lost frame I offered [redacted] a new one just like the old one and also explained that once the new rx would become comfortable I would at my cost put new lenses into the replacement frame. as far as the new frame an adjustment to the lenses was made, new lenses were ordered for the ray ban as I had to adjust some of the centers of the lenses. [redacted] accused me of changing nothing and plaint games with him. both of the lenses first and second pair are still in my store as proof that the change was made. the rx is not from our store and is a fill of a doctor outside our location. I am still willing to change the lenses in the ray ban and the offer still stands for free lenses in the frame [redacted] was given to make up for the lost frame. I only became confrontational with [redacted] when he called me a liar that I did not make any changes from the first pair and that he wants his old broken frame back even though I gave him one just like it with the promise of free lenses into it.

Our Customer [redacted] purchased a frame and lenses from us on on July ** 2015. About two weeks later the frame broke. Unfortunately the manufacturer does not produce...

this frame any longer, and we were not able to obtain a new one for her. Do to this, We had offered to replace her frame and lenses at no extra charge if she choses a frame of equal or lesser value.  After hours of looking ,[redacted] picked a frame that was $50 more. This is where the extra $50 charge came from. [redacted] is now wearing a new frame and lenses that do not have any more issues. We have resolved her problem. If you look at our [redacted] and [redacted] reviews, You can see we bend over backwards for our customers with a 5 star rating ! We have been open for over 18 years and still running. Review: To whom it may concern:

On July **, 2015 I purchased glasses with lenses from Ocean Eyes Optical. With the last four months period the glasses kept braking and I kept taking them back to fix it. About 2 weeks ago they broke again I took them to get fixed, they did and once I picked them up the next day glasses broke in the same spot. I went to the store and asked to exchange these glasses because clearly they have some kind of a defect. I was told that they will exchange however I would have to pay again for the lenses. After a conversation they agreed to exchange the glasses and the lenses at no charge. On December [redacted] I went to the store to pick up my glasses and they told me if I want to take them I have to pay $50 for the lenses, I told them that that is not what we had agreed upon but they did not care. They knew that I was flying the same day out of state and had no other glasses and I had no choice but to pay so I could see. Not only did I have to pay extra for the exchange, the new lenses that they put it are not chameleon like the original were, and they also lost my old glasses that I gave them to fix. I’ve been wearing glasses for many years and never in my life had experienced such a problem as I did with this pair. Also I am completely shocked by their terrible customer service. I know that to some people $270 is not a lot of money but I am a sixty two year old woman on disability and to me $220 for glasses and extra $50 for lenses is a lot of money, my old pair of glasses I had for over 4 years and I expected these new glasses to last me for a long time. Please help me to resolve this issue.

Best Regards,

[redacted]Desired Settlement: I would like to get a full refund of $270. Which consists of the glasses purchase in the amount of $220 and $50 for the lenses. Also compensation for my glasses that they lost or if they found them I would like them back.
