Thank you for getting back to us. We understand the frustration Mr L[redacted] has. As we previously stated and showed Mr L[redacted], the worksheet we provide is an estimated worksheet with the following disclaimer: By signing this authorization form, you certify that the above personal information is correct and accurate, and authorize the release of credit and employment information. By signing above, I provide to the dealership and its affiliates consent to communicate with me about my vehicle or any future vehicles using electronic, verbal and written communications including but not limited to eMail, text messaging, SMS, phone calls and direct mail. Terms and Conditions subject to credit approval. For Information Only. This is not an offer or contract for sale. As a Retail Dealership we are not in the business of preventing our consumers purchase our vehicles. The Cosigner that was on the loan with a current account through Honda was not considered an acceptable cosigner as the account has only had 10 payments completed on it and still has limited credit not qualifying for a second auto loan that would be going on here credit. We would still like to extend our help to Mr L[redacted] and his family and are more than willing to honor the terms provided so long as a cosigner acceptable for the lender is on the loan/lease and subject to a final bank approval.

Mr L[redacted] came to Ocean Honda of Ventura with the intent to get his significant other a new car. They were planning on trading Mr L[redacted] current Vehicle. Unfortunately, due to the fact they had negative equity on the vehicle and did not meet the banks credit requirements. We advised Mr L[redacted] that he...

and his partner needed a significant down payment or a stronger Co-signer. They were able to find a family member who currently has a vehicle loan and a better credit profile. However the co-signer was not able to make it in for 3 weeks. We presented Mr L[redacted] figures estimating the payment on a lease which they said they were comfortable with. We advised them that we would be doing just the initial paperwork and holding the vehicle for them. We put the vehicle aside for them pending their co-signer to come in with them and pending a bank approval. We were moving forward with Mr L[redacted] partner and the Co-signer on the new deal.Mr L[redacted] came in again with the cosigner, who was going on the lease with his partner. We verified all the information was accurate and collected the necessary paperwork (Proof of income, Proof of Residency) to forward to the bank. We submitted the deal to the lender and they advised us that as Mr L[redacted] was not going to be on the new deal and his partner was not on the trade in vehicle title, they would not be able to accept a third party trade in. Mr L[redacted] was upset as he believed he had signed a contract and the car was his. We explained to him that we did not sign any title work or lease contracts and that everything is still subject to bank approval and Ocean Honda of Ventura is not the bank. The Lender is AHFC (American Honda Lease Corporation). At this point he asked us if we could do something without the Trade. I showed him figures on the 2017 Honda Accord without the Trade and let him know it is still subject to bank approval. I told him we would submit the deal without the Trade, and if it got approved we would deliver the paperwork and the vehicle to them. Unfortunately, even without the Trade, Mr L[redacted] partner and the Co-signer still had a credit profile that was too marginal for the lender to approve and they would require a co-signer with a stronger credit score and more established credit history. We advised Mr L[redacted] we would still honor the pricing we discussed as long as the programs did not change, and if the programs got better then the payments would in turn be better as well. However, it is all subject to lender approval.

I am rejecting this response because: That is hilarious! To think that I would even want to purchase a vehicle from this dealership after being treated so horribly, I want you all to know that the way you operate your finance department not to mention your customer service is a complete disaster! Just because you have the Honda name it does not give you the right to treat people any way you would like! Adding one line as a disclaimer that saves your behind on every contract does not mean you have the right to tell people they are approved and get there hopes up and at the end of the day you ruin someone's xmas by lying to them and then not going thru with your commitments when customers do that they get sued! But anyway this is a complete waste of my time because I know nothing will happen to you because of the product you sell you can treat the public how ever you'd like! Merry Xmas guess we'll just have to visit DCH Honda in Oxnard after the new year!

I am rejecting this response because: the documents my significant other signed are missing from our file conveniently. The car was only held for two weeks not 3 and that was only because they insisted on the co-signer being present while signing the lease documents, we asked several times for the documents to be sent over to who her via email or fax! They said no they could not have it done that way, we said they had to wait two weeks for her to be present and they said ok. Then they gave us a list of documents we had to bring in order to finalize the deal which we brought no problem. We signed what we were told was a lease and told by J[redacted] that there was nothing that we could do to ruin the deal because it was done and all they needed was the signature of the consigner. this was all approved by the finance manager whom was not present when we arrived to pick up our car, while our car was being pulled around Javier came over with a sad face telling us about the trade in not being accepted. We even gave them more time to restructure a new deal without the trade being involved and they said they would get back to us on Monday to try and work on lowering payments which they said would be no problem getting financed and said we had an 80/20 shot! This was 3 days ago, if it were not for me calling them to ask about the deal I would have never known that we had been denied. I also do not understand why our consigner whom already owns a vehicle with Honda and has a great payment history never late for a year cannot be a consigner from the same company! That is absolutely ridiculous and unfair!

Purchased my first leased vehicle 2016 Honda Accord Sport and couldn't be happier from the way we were treated and great deal that we received! Very honest and professional.

Review: I have a Honda Odyssey 2008 and I finished paying it off in May of last year. I received a letter from Honda Corporation to cancel my GAP insurance, but to cancel it I had to go to the Vista Honda offices myself. I went and they made me sign some documents to cancel my GAP. Honda Corporation mentioned that I could have a refund. They helped me cancel my GAP on July 2 and Honda Corporation returned to me $274 and they told me it was the money I over payed for some extra charges. They told me I could spend it and I thought that everything was resolved. Additionally,my car has always made a strange sound on the rack and pinion. They have tried to fix it several times, but the problem continues. I took it two weeks ago to the service and this time they found a different problem, but they want to charge me because I don't have a guarantee. I bought my guarantee for 1000 miles or six years. My car has 48000 miles and five and a half years. They claimed that they accidentally canceled my guarantee, so I had to refund the money if I wanted the guarantee. I never cancelled the guarantee, they did. I do not want to pay for their error, I want them to fix my car, and I want credit for the time in which my guarantee was cancelled.I want your help to resolve this case.Desired Settlement: I do not want to pay for their error, I want them to fix my car, and I want credit for the time in which my guarantee was cancelled.I need your help to resolve this case.

Response:

The repairs that have been done and that still may need attention have nothing to do with the error in the cancellation of the warranty. These are 2 seperate issues. The customer is more than welcome to contact American Honda Customer service in regards to the repair issues at ###-###-####. We will be happy to continue to try and fix the ongoing problem in conjunction with the manufacture of the vehicle.

As for the mistake in cancelling the balance of the extended warranty, as soon as the refund amount is returned we can still get the extended warranty reinstated. If the customer wishes to keep the refund the extended warranty will remain cancelled.

I am rejecting this response because:

Regards,

Review: Repeated mailing, phone calls, mail saying for sale Shirley’s 2010 Honda Odyssey. Inside cash outright re-purchase for my 2010 Honda for $17,440. Told to ask for a buy back specialist. They at first were calling my home directly & demanding I bring my 59,000 miles 2010 vehicle for outright repurchase for cash.

Now they have added to the offer discounts for every service on my vehicle & their mechanic does bad work 2-19-15. I have called Honda Central office in Torrance & I have placed complaints. I demand that this method of advertisement stop immediately. It is fraud. Also now car doc contract. Contract for maintenance program for $25.00per month.Desired Settlement: Stop sending any offers of offer to purchase my low mileage vehicle which has low mileage or even return for any service or join a monthly car no policy.
