I was just so reluctant to hire a moving companyBut ocean moving & storage convinced meThey were very experienced and took a very gentle but thorough approach in moving and carrying out my old pieces of furnitureThey were very careful while loading themWhen I received my furniture, I was absolutely ecstaticAll the pieces traveled without a scratchI don't think I would be scared of hiring moving companies again since these guys did such a good jobThey were really inexpensive as well
Ocean moving & storage did everything right during the pickup but it was the delivery that impressed me moreThey were super careful with moving things from the truck to my apartment and very good at listening to where I instructed them to put belongingsI am not looking for a lot in a moving company- just a fair price, good service and safe delivery of my belongingsCompared to the other companies, the price was pretty on point with these guysThrow in the good service and careful handling of my belongings, and I am a happy camper!
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY This was the absolute worst case scenario I could have possibly imagined for my move They lost a third of my boxes (and subsequently EVERY THING that held any meaning for me is now gone) What they didn't lose, they destroyed I got only excuses, rudeness and disrespect from the company They don't call back when they promise to and their claims policies don't even amount to enough money to justify taking the time to file a claimBesides, all the money in the world cannot replace your sentimental items such as family photos, mementos of a loved one who has passed, your professional portfolio or countless other things If you use this company, you will regret it You are better off moving yourself

My husband and I were moving from Boston to Florida and we were contacted by Ocean Moving and Storage The first quote the salesman gave us was really low ($1,800), and he was very convincing that his company would beat anyone else's prices About a month later, I gave him my furniture list along with how many boxes we packed (125) and asked for another quote He doubled the quote to $3,and told me not to worry I didn't want to shop around any more for another company, so I signed the contract When it came moving day, after seeing the furniture and boxes, the head mover told me that it was going to exceed the quote Never in a million years would I have expected that quote to double again In the end, we were hit with a total bill of $6, That is a long way from the $1,original quote I believe the salesman purposely throws in a low number to bait you and after you sign up, they know then that you can't back down Another issue here was the date of our furniture arrival I was told that the furniture would arrive either on the date expected or one or two days later He told me they had trucks going out every day so it wouldn't be a problem Guess what, they were ONE WEEK overdue, costing us extra money to stay in a hotel, along with meals This was one of the most expensive moves we have made I will NEVER use this company again, nor will any of my friends or family Word of caution, don't believe everything they tell you Get other quotes from other companies and read their reviews I will do more research the next time we move
