This document is to address the allegations brought before you in regards to *** ** ***The process for our office whether purchasing a new property or inspections on a newly purchased property, evictions, work orders, board of health, or squatters is as follows:Technicians will visit the
property and leave a hour Notice of intent to enterIf no contact is made to our office within that hour period, as outlined in the notice left at the property, technician has the right to drill locks and enter the propertyA key is left at the office, as stated in notice, along with instructions on how to gain a copy of their new key.On 716/2017, one of our field technicians arrived to a property given to them by the corporate office to schedule an inspection of the property for intent to purchase or having Just purchased the propertyA letter was left giving the tenant hour notice of intent to enter to perform said inspectionTechnician had no knowledge that this property had not closed at that time.On 7/7/2017, having not heard from the tenant, Technician met the inspector at the property and proceeded to drill and replace the locks in order to gain access to the unit for the inspection as stated in the letter left for tenantInspection was completed and a letter was left for the tenant giving instructions on how to obtain a new key to their unit as we do not leave keys at the property for the safety of the tenant.On 7/10/17, Tenant came into office and asked about the lock change and was informed by our receptionist that we had purchased her property and she would need to sign a new lease with our companyReceptionist had no knowledge that the property had not closed and was just doing her job following procedure for newly acquired propertiesTenant was given a new key and left the building.Owner called the leasing office, at which time office was in a meeting and a message was taken for a return callMessage was then forwarded to theOcean Point InvestmentsCorporate Office to follow up with ownerOnce the message was given to Corporate, our office had no knowledge of anything that transpired from that point.This situation was a unfortunate mistake by our corporate office when relaying property address to our field technician to schedule the inspection and Ocean Point Investments takes full responsibility for the error in property address.Ocean Point Investments would like to express our sincerest apology for the mistake, and for any comments taken as rude by any of our office staff in regards to this matter and hope we can resolve this issue in a timely and peaceful manner with any compensation needed to resolve the matter.We thank you for your time in this matter and encourage you to reach out to us either by phone at (317)602-or email at [email protected] J***Regional Property ManagerOcean Point investments Ltd
