Oceancliff I & II Reviews (2)

This response is being provided by InnSeason Resorts, who acted as the sales agent for Ocean Cliff I & II Resort in Newport, Rhode Island during the time of this customer's purchase. This customer visited the resort to preview the RCI Points program offered by InnSeason Resorts in connection with
the purchase of any interval at the Ocean Cliff I *& II Resort. Our team marketed to the customer to attend a minute presentation and provided them gifts for attending the preview at the resort. Our team did a presentation of how the RCI Points program would provide flexibility and benefits to those interested in vacationing for years to come at quality resort accommodations around the world or just within our own backyard here in New England. All of the guests are offered a first day incentive to purchase a points program that would fit their particular needs, which includes a discounted price on the day of their preview. Our team doesn't sell to everyone who attends our presentations and we understand that our guests may not need or want what we offered, so the customers claims that our team pressured them into buying is not accurate. This customer decided to join and received a great week that is worth 39,RCI Points for a reasonable purchase price and at a quality resort. This customer received a fair deal for what they paid and they agreed to finance a portion of the purchase price and were aware of the annual maintenance fee to the resort. The customer also agreed in writing that the monthly loan payment and annual fees were not a financial burden to them. So, when I first spoke to this customer in April 2017, the story was that we lied or misrepresented the program and I offered to do an online demonstration on how to use the points to show them that they have plenty of ways to book some wonderful vacations using the points. Our company offers great resources on our website for training on how to use RCI Points to book and we offer online classes for those who want a little more hand holding to use the program. This customer refused to accept any help, but instead repeated they didn't read any of the terms and could care less about what was in the agreement and what they signed. So, there wasn't much I could do since she was not even willing to let me assist her and I put notes in the system that I offered to help and that she was going to get a lawyer.Recently, we received a package from the customer that asked to have the contract canceled due to health and other claims that are without merit or they would file a complaint with everyone: Revdex.com, Attorney General, FTC, and whomever else. The package included "drafts" of such complaints and the "affidavit" that was attached to this complaint. At the same time, we have other identical packages arriving at our office for other customers in the New England area that were in the same font, same words used to describe their health and other issues and we realized that these customers are being provided with boilerplate letters to be sent to help them get out of the contracts by a third party company. In total, I have seen about or of these packages that look like they come from the customer; however, we now know the customers are paying a company called *** *** ***, LLC in Portland, Maine to help them bombard our company with complaints so we will cancel the agreement and let them off the hook on the loan or fees they owe. Yesterday, one of those customers agreed to give me the background on the company he hired, *** *** ***, LLC and how he paid them over $2,by check and now they won't return his calls. I researched *** *** ***, LLC and found that its website professes to have been in business since and has employees; however, according to the Maine Secretary of State the company was started in and was terminated in July 2017. Apparently, the owner, *** ***, was a one man show and promised a 100% refund to people to get them out of the agreements and tells them to stop paying on the loans, but many complaints online show that he never paid back anyone who was not successful and he shut down the business with the state, but has kept operating to take people's money regardless. The point of this back story is to inform the public that our company has offered and is still willing to help this customer with the RCI Points program using the tools we have spent time and money to create or doing an online demonstration to help them book some great vacations. I have left voice messages for the customer this week and not a single response to my calls. I even offered to do a cancellation of the contract, if they pay the annual fees for to the resort, but not a word from the customer. She's probably reaching out to *** *** ***, LLC to get help, but *** is not calling her back to help her with the process. I will attach the letters we received from this customer and another customer in Massachusetts that had the same complaints down to the word and format. I understand that people have life circumstances that can change: health, job situation, family crises, etc. However, by ignoring the obligations you agree to or attempt to paint our company or any company is a bad light so that it has a personal gain towards getting released of your obligations is not the proper way to go about your business. InnSeason Resorts has been doing business for a long time in New England and has helped thousands of owners to be able to afford to take quality vacations with their friends and family members using vacation ownership programs. We stand behind our programs and we provide assistance to those who need or want that assistance to make sure they are getting the maximum value for what they were offered. Our team is passionate about helping people everyday take trips all over the world and it's disheartening to read disparaging remarks that are without merit made against our company or team members. This customer does not want to accept any responsibility for what they agreed to purchase or pay back on the loan. We offered to do a settlement to let her out and she still refuses to communicate with my company. She claims she can't afford to pay anymore; however, they have a home up for sale that is listed for 75% higher than they paid for it back in 1998. So, they will definitely have the means to pay for the program once the sale of the home closes, but this complaint is not really about the facts. This complaint is really just a ploy orchestrated and paid for through a third party agency, *** *** ***, LLC to get this customer out of paying for what they agreed to pay when they joined our program back in 2015. That's what this complaint is all about, plain and simple. Sincerely,*** ***InnSeason Resorts
