Unfortunately, due to this recall affecting vehicles from 2005-2012, there is some very old and rusted vehicles that are involvedThe specific part that is to be replaced requires multiple other parts to be removed in order to do soThese

***'s *** is extremely rusted and corroded underneathFor example, if she were to come into our dealership with no recall being issued on her vehicle, and we put her car on the ramp, we would have told her that her vehicle was unsafe to drive right awayThis recall has not made her vehicle unsafe, the fact that it has seen Newfoundland winters and has excessive corrosion on several parts is what have made it unsafe to drive
This vehicle, by rights, and by our Newfoundland and Labrador inspection, should not be allowed on the road in the current condition it is inThis is why we ask for customers to sign a safety waiver when they leave our shop in that conditionThe recalled part is the only section of the vehicle that is recalled, and that is why *** will not pay for any other replacement of parts due to wear and tear
We have several vehicles on our lot right now that are waiting for this recalled part, and all of the vehicles that are between 2004-will certainly be in the same circumstance as ***There is nothing else that can be done from our end because no other parts are currently recalled

Funny that they say that the vehicle is extremely rusted and corroded yet the service manager said that our vehicle was not in good shape compared to others they have had come in and they recommend that it is worth having the repairs done because it was in good shape
