Oceanside World Travel Reviews (3)

Good afternoon,

We recently had to let go our assistant in our Rohnert Park office and it seems a few things did get lost in the process since communication was not being made thoroughly between our offices and sales team.

I would...

be more than happy to send a certificate to Mr & Mrs [redacted] for their airfare and hotel stay as promised.

I would like to truly apologize for the delay and for the lack of communication in my team. It was an unfortunately situation where we had to let go our front desk assistant as that position is responsible for really being the glue in the company for our customer service so I take full responsibility for the inconveniences you have been dealt.

The certificate will be sent out today, June 27, 2014 and should arrive in your hands at latest by mid next week. Please let us know that you have received the package.

Best,
[redacted]
Vice President

Review: We were sent a letter promising that if we came to

sales promotion we would receive free flights

in continental U.S. We went, they gave no tickets

We came to a sales promotion in Rohnert Park at the Double Tree on May 31,2014, after receiving a letter in the mail with no company names listed

on it Letter order #[redacted] We were promised 2 free round trips anywhere in continenal U.S. if we attended by Tarina a sale rep. There was only a contact number on the letter to an answering service to reserve a spot so we couldn't look up their business on Revdex.com. We both were required to come to the meeting and we came. At first they said they were a company called "Lifetime World Adventures" and would give us plane tickets even if we didn't sign up for their travel packages. During the presentation, a slide show with hotels and travel packages was presented with the name "Gold Crown Resort Marketing" on them. They said they worked for Gold Crown. When I called Gold Crown Resort Marketing they said that they indeed did use Lifetime World Adventures to sell travel packages and the person that I spoke to on the phone ([redacted])verified it. but would do nothing to satisfy the promise their company (Gold Crown)represented to us. and Lifetime isn't listed with the Revdex.com. But Gold Crown resort marketing is still open for lying business practices.Desired Settlement: We would like "Gold Crown Resort Marketing" to make good the promise they and Lifetime made to us and give us 2 free round trip tickets to anyway in the continental U.S.. They use Lifetime to sell their packages. Gold Crown ([redacted]) admitted this to us.

Obviously "Lifetime World Adventures" gets a cut or profit from selling these Gold Crown packages to clients. so GC is paying

them to sell the packages to us.

Good afternoon,

Review: In response to a telephone solicitation, my wife and I attended an invitee only meeting at the above location. We were expecting discounted travel rates. The inducement to attend this meeting was the promise of round trip airfare for two adults and three days and two nights of hotel accommodations...all to be provided at no charge. The actual 2 hour meeting consisted of efforts by three individuals to sell memberships of $10,000. At the completion of the meeting consisting of a slide presentation and "hard sell" efforts to enroll you, a fulfillment agreement was presented as we left the location. This agreement does NOT meet the representations made in the solicitation. 1. Round trip airfare for two adults is limited to specific cities of which San Diego, CA is not included. 2. The consumer is responsible for additional fees of $50/person reservation fee, $59/person processing fee, and all transportation fees relating to and from nearest airport. 3. All fees must be paid by money order or cashiers check and due immediately and non refundable. 4. The address listed on the fulfillment agreement is a Post Office Box in the state of Florida. Attempts to reach the address listed in the complaint utilizing Certified Mail resulted in four failed deliveries with "Business Closed" noted by the Postmaster. The local telephone company did not have any listing for this business. I feel the above are viable concerns to the general public and are reflections of questionable advertising depicting gross misrepresentations.Desired Settlement: Round trip airfare tickets San Diego, CA to Atlanta, GA

Upon arrival at our office couples sign a confirmation of disclosure that states very clearly "The purpose of your visit is to introduce you to our unique concept in travel by means of a personalized presentation. Depending on the certificate, traveler will be responsible for expenses such as taxes, fees, transportation and gratuities. Depending on the promotional certificate(s) offered, the deposits may be refundable or non-refundable. If a certificate offers rebates for gas or dinner, or if a gift card is offered, those items will be mailed to the traveler by the travel provider in connection with the travel certificate. Gas, Grocery, and Merchandise rebates provided following the presentation may be limited to specific denominations and terms of use. I confirm that the terms of this disclosure are consistent with my expectation of what I would receive for attending the 90 minute presentation at Oceanside World Travel." If any of this was something of concern couples can choose to opt out of the presentation and leave before it begins and not sign this sheet.

In addition, the mail piece sent to prospects from [redacted] states on it "Certain restrictions apply. Call for details of participation. Promotion may be canceled at any time. Retail Value $1,199. Recipient is responsible for all applicable taxes, deposits, and/or fees. Flights are round trip for two adults, to and from a major international airport in the Continental U.S. Travel over major holidays is nor permitted and some restrictions may apply. A ninety minute presentation is required."

The fact that there are fees and taxes along with the gift should be expected as the gifts are never pitched as "free".

The certificates were printed in advance and do not have "San Diego, CA" listed on them, but as my assistant or I tell everyone, that San Diego was added online and therefor once the certificate is sent in, and people go on to their website to organize their trip, they will see that San Diego, CA is one of the destinations you may fly in and out of. It is a little confusing but since millions of these gifts were printed prior to being sent to my office it was just an oversight that I can assure you is fixed once logging in to the website.

As for the mail not being accepted, I am very concerned. I would be happy to send a new certificate to Mr [redacted], as I can't imagine why the previous certificate is giving him issues. We give out HUNDREDS of these certificates every week and I am in constant contact with the company. That's how I know that this is not a recurring problem because I have never heard of this issue before. It's possible it is being sent to the wrong address, as the correct address is daily accepting these certificates at their mailbox. If Mr [redacted] would provide his address I would be glad to send a new certificate his way, and I will alert the gifting company of his incoming gift so they make sure to speed along the process as much as they can to make up for this issue. I assure you that the gifting company is working and accepting mail and they can be contacted through their website, [redacted].COM and also by phone at ###-###-#### to verify what I am telling you here.

I hope to hear back with Mr [redacted]'s address, as he may also call our offices to arrange this at ###-###-####.

Thank you,
