Thank you for contacting us as we want nothing but to provide our customers with the most efficient and the best experience possible when renting with usI have further investigated this claim with all of my agents involved and the situation here is the customer did not return the vehicle on time therefore by our contract the customer was charged for the additional timeWhen we do a walk around with the customer on our tablet we then also have an electronic signature for the customer to sign their contract as well which we have on file in our system and the signed walk around on the vehicle as well with video recordings showing all this being doneAs far as the getting back with the customer we have made several attempts but we are never able to get ahold of the customer but not all employees have access to reprint signed rental agreements from our system therefor requires a managers approval so that might be what the customer is talking about when they state it is taking a while to get back with them but again rest assured we want nothing but to get any information we can as quickly as possible for our customers, unfortunately from my understanding the customer is just not happy having to pay for the time over but it clearly states that in our contract and these customers have rented from us a few other times so they should know our policies by nowPlease if you have any other questions do not hesitate to contact meThanks again for your time [redacted] - Ochs Operations

10/27/17- Spoke to *** who handles claimsThe person that did the claim doesn't work here anymore and I'm not really familiar with this case, but we do pride ourselves on customer services, so we appreciate this being brought to our attentionWe will make sure that documentation is accurate and that we are serving our customers better*Informed Business the case will be closing

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: We have also filed a complaint with the Attorney General for this matter and this response also takes into account the response they received from Och's about the signature being done on an iPad 1) We picked up the rental car from [redacted] in SteGenevieve, an authorized location for Och's, and they DO NOT have an iPad so *** could not have signed via an iPad as Och's claims when there wasn't one at that location either at the time of our rental or today when we went in to talk to them.2) We have attached the document that *** signed upon picking up the car from [redacted] on 2/17/which does in fact indicate the price of $ 3) We dropped the car off at approximately 2:p.mon 2/19/2017, which was after hours for this location, and followed their after-hours protocol for drop off [redacted] confirmed (as evidenced by their documentation) that the rental was there when they arrived at 8:a.mon 2/20/and the documentation will also show that the car was not due back until 11:a.mon 2/20/so it in fact was not late on return.I have attached the following supporting documentation: 1) The document from [redacted] showing the above information.2) The document provided by Och's to [redacted] when we contested the overcharge initially, which is in fact a forged signature as evidenced by the above factsWe don't know if they were deliberately trying to defraud us or if this was just gross negligence on their part In either event, forgery in the attempt to charge more is still illegalSincerely, [redacted] Sincerely, [redacted]

Hello My name is *** *** Manager of Ochs Rent a Car LLCAfter reviewing your letter and Mr*** rental agreement I have viewed the following. I reviewed the video walk around that is done every time a customer rents a vehicle to determine any existing damage/Fuel levels/ if the
vehicle is cleaned /the mileage of the vehicle/ and if the vehicle smells of any smokeWe have the recording and the customers signature on this recording showing that the vehicle was clean and there was no smoke odor and it was full of gas on 07/13/at 10:am at our cape girardeau mo locationWhen the vehicle was returned we checked in the vehicle on 07/17/at 09:am at our cape girardeau mo location and proceeded to complete our vehicle check in video walk aroundThere was evidence of ashes in the drivers side floor board along with ash marks on the window seal and the odor of smoke was marked present on the inspectionTherefore we determined the vehicle was indeed smoked inOur contract states that we will charge a $Cleaning fee for any vehicle smoked in due to the fact that we have to use a special machine to deodorize the entire vehicle so that it can be re rented to another customerAgain customers are made aware of this when signing our rental agreement and this to is why we document all our vehicles going out and going in. 10/27/17- We've rented from them many timesWe always return the car on a Sunday, so we know we get charged for that SundayWe were actually at a Collision center, one of their affiliatesMy husband was quoted the $price and signed off on itI saw on my card that they charge use $more and I contacted them because I thought they just made a mistakeThey said their files are in storage so they'd have to go get them, and it took them a long timeI contested the CC chargeOchs gave documentation for the higher charge but it wasn't my husband's signatureWe went to the AG and they said that it probably looks different because it was on an iPadMy husband didn't remember signing anything on an iPad so we went and asked the collision center if they have one and they don't and never haveWe got the original document from them that shows the lower priceWe didn't return the car lateThe collision center confirmed that the car was in their lot at AMIt's a case of fraudulent charges and a forged signature, and the AG said we'd need to get an attorney if we want to pursue itOur CC company has refunded us the moneyLuckily we went to an affiliate and they had the actual document because Ochs makes you turn everything in when you turn the car inI'd want an investigation of the claims, but the AG wont' do itI just want them to be more aware of their procedures*Mediator notified Consumer that case would close after contact with Business

gave you a 2016 Ford Focus.  The vehicle was returned on 02/27/2017.  I personally reviewed the video walk around for your vehicle when you returned that was not on the vehicle when it was rented.  There is also a ticket violation that we received for a parking ticket while you were in Dallas TX in the amount of $45. so the total of yur rental for the time you had the vehicle plus your ticket violation.  There is still a claim open as of right now for the damage to the vehicle so there is still a balance that you owe.  When you use more than one card for a rental by our contract you are giving us permission to use that card for any and all charges for your rental.  I apologize for any and all issues and misunderstandings.  We have emailed you a detailed summary of your total for your rental and we will be sending you the invoice for the cost of the repairs.  Please don't hesitate to give us a call anytime Monday thru Friday 8am to 6pm Central Standard Time.
