Our company has always made sure that we inform our customer's of the potential tile damage especially when dealing with the the delicate Spanish tile roofs that we have in Santa Barbara. We have a roof release document explaining this signed by the customer prior to the fumigation and do try to...
take the upmost care while working on the roof during the fumigation. Foam boards were used during the initial set up of the fumigation while carrying the tarps onto the roof. These foam boards are used strategically in the areas where the fumigators will be walking on the roof to help prevent as little tile breakage as possible. We do feel very badly about the costs that have been incurred for the repair of the roof, but cannot be held responsible.
