I purchased a 2020 25' gooseneck utility trailer from O'Connor Trailer. Customer service was fair and I was pleased with my purchase. The issue occurred when I received the title for my trailer. The name on the title was incorrect. I called O'Connor Trailers to report the mistake and request it be corrected. The owner, ***, was not available to speak with me but her Mother took my message and said *** would call me back concerning the issue. I did not receive a return call, so on day 3 after I had called to report the issue, I called O'Connor trailer back and was able to speak with the owner,***. She immediately stated stated that she had made a mistake, but that I had to go to the tax assessors office to fix the issue since the title was already in my name and that she would send me a check for the $28.00 I had paid for the trailer title when I bought it. She also stated that she already had the license plates for my trailer in her possession.At that point I asked her if the license plates needed to be reissued as well and she got exasperated with me and repeated to me in a very slow and pronounced manner as if I was ignorant for asking.... that I needed to go to the tax assessor and change the name on the title. That was very unprofessional and definitely not a way you treat your customer. I bought that trailer on 06/26/20 and to this day 08/03/20 I still do not have a corrected title which I cannot correct because it is not in my name....the name is incorrect.....I have not received a $28.00 check to pay for the title to be corrected as she stated she would send for me to correct it..and I have not received the license plates for the trailer I purchased.
I did mail the plates and the check to her the day I spoke with her. I also explained that yes I messed up but since it is in her name that I cant do anything about that and that the transaction would have to be intiated on her side. There is nothing further I can do on my side since she has the title and its in her name and would have to be corrected through the state. if she hasn't received the plates they are probably hung up in the mail and are taking a few days to get to her..I tried calling her after receiving this email and there was not an answer. I have been selling trailers for 22 years and we are a family owned business, small town...nothing intentional I do make mistakes. I'm sorry about this but I cant do anything at this point. I know things are hung up in the mail. She also had to sign the title application stating that this is the correct name stating it true and correct to her knowledge.
