From: Bill O***Date: Wed, Dec 14, at 1:PMSubject: Case ***To: *** *** Please see below responseI filed this client’s taxes on 01-19-2016 and was accepted by IRS and State. There were no errors or issues with the
returnShe received a full refund from the IRS in the amount of $6,with Ck#*** on 02-02-2016 and $from the State with CK#*** on 02-10-2016 The client emailed me on 01-22-2016 to add another Wand direct deposit (see her email attached)The client was informed once her return was accepted by IRS on 01-19-2016, the client providing another Wwill result in filing for an amendment. The amended return was filed on 01-28-2016 (see attached email to the client) to add her additional Win the amount of $425. This resulted in a federal refund in the amount of $and State refund of $13. Response to client issues in red.Customer’s Statement of the Problem:William O*** presented himself as an experienced accountant; and was paid to file my income tax. He made several errors in filing requiring amendment…There were noerrors in filing the amendmentThe errors are from client filing her own amendment per her statement highlighted in yellow. He also failed to enter my direct deposit information which resulted in me having to make several trips to his office in person….The client requested direct deposit after the return was accepted by the IRS. He filed the taxes without including one of my W-froms….The client emailed her W-from another job after the return was accepted by the IRS. I was told he would file the amendment to correct this errorI was later encouraged by him to just complete the tax filing on my ownI mailed off several forms on my own and did not hear anything backI also called the IRS and found my taxes had not been completed. The amendment Mr Ocran was paid to file was never completed. We have not received any payment for assisting with the client’s amendment. The amendment was done free of charge on 01-28-2016.I attempted to followed up with him several times about my taxes and he ignored my calls and emails. This client typically communicates via emailI do not have any emails from this client regarding amendment issuesThis is the first we are hearing of this. He was also very rude and inconsiderate the last time I spoke with him about the errors in his tax filingsHe was paid in full to file the full income taxes for however did not complete the process as promised. Desired Outcome/Settlement: I would like the amendment to be filed correctly and the taxes for to be completed as agreed. Desired Settlement: Finish the Job I believe client’s mistake was her filing amendment and mailing off several forms on her own. Please Note: That typically there is a charge for filing an amendmentIt is an additional service and not included in the fee for filing taxes. As an act of goodwill we waived the fee for this client. Additionally, in this case it was the client’s error in not providing all necessary documents that caused an amendmentWe are not responsible for the client’s amendment once they mail documents to the IRSThe client is welcome to stop by the office or send an email requesting an appointment if our assistance is needed is resolving this matter
