Oculus Systems Security Reviews (%countItem)

Due to their sheer unprofessionalism I spent all night arguing about a boot removal that we didn't have money for. Upon calling a removal tech through insurance we were harassed and threatened with legal action. Despite them offering a 100 dollar fee for any technician to remove it.

There are signs all over the property stating "permit only, violators will be booted and/or towed". If you would read the signs and abide by the rules there would be no issue. You will not receive a refund and I suggest you take this as a learning experience and read posted signs on private property.

This company put boots on roughly 30 cars in one apartment complex last night. The number listed to call to get your boot removed was on the citation, but no one was answering the line.
The guard informed that the only option was to pay in cash, which I reluctantly did so I could leave, but not sure what happened to the other people. The complex does not have sufficient signage explaining that parking is permit only from 6pm-6am, and as I drove out of the complex, I only found ONE sign stating so. The residents didn't even know.
But I am not fighting the rules of parking here, but if a security enforcer with this company is going to boot 30+ cars in one area, this "company" should be sufficiently ready to take the calls and remove the boots. Cash was the only option to pay and the reality is, not many people carry $100 cash on them. The guard, A. Mengel, was openly gloating about his "Pay Day" from booting so many cars, and I received a "Receipt" that was written in sharpie, on a piece of notebook paper. It had no company logo or name attached, and I am almost certain that my $100 went straight into the pocket of the guard. Just sad that this is a business and certainly does not deserve an A+ rating.

Thank you for your feedback. First and foremost there were not 30 boots placed on this property. You are correct, the phone calls bogged down our line, which we have since resolved. My officer had to move on the fly and try to accommodate all upset people in violation calling in at the same time due to the Super Bowl. Every time a boot is placed a timestamped, GPS pinged report is compiled along with no less than 6 pictures taken, keeping the service verifiable and the officers honest. I do apologize for the paper receipt. Understand we boot to alleviate the stress of vehicles being towed, and do our best to accommodate the properties requests. We hold an A+ rating because we respond and explain to our negative reviews in a positive manner, shining a light on the truth behind the scenes.
