He will take your money and buy used materials. Rarely shows up to work, always has an excuse. What work he did do was subpar. Left a mess, never completed the job in a timely manner and was fired. We did not receive materials or labor to compensate the money we paid. The project was to wall in and screen in a porch. The project had to be torn down due to crooked walls and damaged used materials he used in the installation. He made claims that the job was 80% done and he could finish in one day. He did not finish in one day and the job was only about 20% done after two months of trying to get him to finish.

Initial Contact Began on 8/6/19 to set up estimates, 8/10/19 received estimates, 8/12/19 contacted to start work, 8/15/19 scheduled to come to work- isn’t show at scheduled time on 8/15/19, came that afternoon and did 3 hours of work, then Friday 8/16/19 Showed to review work & get supplies. Check was written at 9:30am on Friday, 8/16/19, anAlex stated he would be buying supplies to do the work anthen would return immediately following. By 2:30pm Meagan *** initiated phone contact due to no return by Alex ***. He ma*e an excuse as to why he *i*n’t return. He then stated that he would return Saturday, 8/17/19 at 10am to resume work. There is little truth to the claims made. I did a full days worth of work "demo phase" which was completed before making the trip to the springs to pick up supplies. I did pick up the drywall and other supplies. However it was not an issue with the trailer as I rented on from uhaul. The problem was it started to rain which I let Meagan *** know I would not be able to return that same day because if I did I would be delivering a pile of soggy drywall. I cashed the check before even making the trip to the springs and renting the uhaul. Once I tried to return I found the *** had placed all of the tools that I had left there outside to be rained on and cause about $750 worth of damage. In regards to the check I did what my bank informed me to do and that was wait 90 days attempt to deposit the check. They said if at that point it did not clear I would have to pursue legal action to claim the money owed to me.

Complaint: 14201899I am rejecting this response: The attached documentation of text messages outlines communication & the repeated excuses. As a recap: 8/15/19 did 3 hours of work, Friday 8/16/19 Showed 2 review projects. Check was written @ 9:30am on 8/16/19 for supplies & percentage of work to be done. He stated he would be buying supplies 2 do the work & then would return immediately. 2:30pm I initiated phone contact due 2 no return by Alex & I had to pursue the contact as I had no word from him. He claims he cashed the check this day 2 buy supplies, but the bank confirmed that he attempted on 8/20/19. He made an excuse as 2 why he couldn’t return (because it was raining). He stated that he would return 8/17/19 @ 10am 2 resume work. He no-showed & I called at 11:17am to contact & left a voicemail due 2 his phone not accepting messages, there was no response from him. We placed a stop payment 8/17/19 for the check issued & notified Alex. He responded at 8pm(10 hours after his scheduled time) that evening stating he ran into problems with his trailer & that is why he didn't show that morning. We attempted 2 coordinate w/ Alex 2 pick up his tools & he continued 2 flake on us, so we put his tools in a box covered w/ a plastic tarp & notified that they were available for pick up. He left them out there for 2 weeks willingly on his own- We checked on the equipment regularly & there was no damage 2 any tools. 8/20/19 He attempted 2 cash the check that he was notified was cancelled (We offered 2 pay him for the ACTUAL work done). *** bank issued a notification that the check had a stop placement. Alex took the *** notification- held the check for 6 months & re-deposited the check 3/2/20. *** bank notified 3/4/2020 and confirmed that his bank should have never let him deposit the check. Report was filed with Teller Sheriff - confirmed that there is warrant out for his arrest for a similar offense in El Paso County & now has a warrant out for his arrest in Teller County.

At this point I believe the *** do not have any intent on fixing this issue and are just out to try and tarnish my name. In previous messages they have stated 3.5 and 4hrs is all they believe I worked for them. I let them know they were missing about 9.5 hrs bring the total hrs worked to 13 hrs total I was even willing to bring the original hourly price down to $65 from the original $68.90 because Mr. seemed felt as if he had been screwed even though he is the one who decided that he no longer wanted to work with my company before our agreed upon deadline. I have attached an image of the letter I received from the bank showing that I did deposit the original check on the 16th. I believe the *** are either just trying to tarnish my reputation by deceptive tactics or they just feel they haven't caused enough damage to me and are acting with pure malice so they feel better. I can see how easily it would be to misconstrue some evidence to where my company could look like the bad guy in this situation prima facia. However after the small portion of evidence I provided showing I only did what the bank asked of me and the fact the 1500 was returned I don't really know what the *** intentions are at this point except to "destroy me and my reputation and livelihood" which Mr *** clearly let me know in text message.
