We have worked with *** (now Red Elly) several times in the past and have always been satisfied with their work. This past May we placed an order for 3,000 booklet envelopes. We waited for over a month for our order before contacting Red Elly customer support.
They said if they couldn't fulfill the order by the end of June they would issue us a refund. We continued to be understanding and patiently hopeful that we would receive our order.
By the end of June, we still hadn't received the order so we had to purchase envelopes from another company. We spoke with a Red Elly sales team member who said our order will be forwarded to accounting for cancellation. We thanked them for agreeing to issue a full refund to the credit card used to pay for the order. We then continued to wait for the refund to hit our credit card statement for three months. It never came.
Red Elly became increasingly difficult to contact, whether it was via their website's "Need Help?" page, email, or by phone. When I tried to call them from my work number, my calls would go unnoticed, but as soon as I tried calling on my cell phone, they answered right away. They were screening my calls!
When I finally got an apology email from customer service, they said their accounting manager wasn't in the office, but they would issue a refund. The status of our order on their site was updated to "Refunded". Yet we still never got an actual refund.
It has now been over seven months since we placed the order and over five months since first trying to get our refund. Red Elly has refused to give us the name or contact information of their accounting/finance department. They are incredibly apologetic but their emails are full of excuses. They suggest contacting our credit card company, but the time frame to dispute a transaction has expired and ***/*** suggest contacting the company. We didn't know we needed to dispute the charge until 60+ days once we realized the order wouldn't be fulfilled.

We hired *** Express, now listed as *** who is the same company as Office Express, Inc., ***.com/) to make some custom envelopes for us back in May per the instructions of our graphic designer. They took our payment before they had made the envelopes and never actually ended up making them. They claim that the paper stock they needed never arrived. So I asked for our money back. At the end of May I got an email from their Finance Dept that a refund would be issued but the refund never came. His name was Chris, email was ***.com. I have sent several emails since. Nobody ever answers the phone listed on their website. And their current website does not even list a physical address, just says they are headquarted outside of Evanston, IL, which raises a red flag. They charged us $550 and we are a small non-profit organization working to assist low-income older adults across the country. We want our money back since we never received any product! This company is horrible! The phone number they list is (888)-*** It says "talk to a real person". But no one ever answers the phone!!

We informed this customer that our accounting manager was the only person that could issue a refund for the order in this amount and suggested (multiple times) that a quick contact to their credit card company would reverse the charges within 1-2 business days, as the order was cancelled. The customer ignored this suggestion.

The last contact we had from the customer was in July and it was not brought to our attention again that the matter hadn't been resolved until this complaint. We have no record of the customer contacting us repeatedly and being ignored.

We have been in business almost 20 years and deal with thousands of orders each year, many of which come from customers that have been ordering with us for several years. Sometimes during a busy season, an issue can be missed.

A refund for this order has been processed and should appear on the customer's credit card statement. This issue could have been resolved weeks (or months) ago if the customer had let us know anytime in the past 6 weeks that it hadn't been resolved yet, or contacted their credit card company.

I accept the refund that they should have issued to us months ago but I do not accept their explanation as they never once told me to contact our bank to resolve the issue and makes no sense that their accounting manager would not have just given us the refund to begin with. This is the very last email that I received from them back in May, which proves that they are trying to dodge any responsibility on their part. For this reason, I hope that you keep this complaint on the website at least until I know they have issued me a refund for sure.

I'm so very sorry for the delayed response. Unfortunately our warehouse and customer service center were hit by terrible weather which caused flooding and a loss of inventory and equipment. We had to relocate to temporary space and we have very limited connectivity. We're trying our best to handle all incoming requests as quickly as possible, but due to order delays our customer service team has been inundated. I understand there was a miscommunication regarding this order. I'm very sorry for this issue and the lack of communication. Our team is trying to make the best of a terrible situation. I have forwarded your request to our accounting manager for cancellation and to issue a refund. Our accounting manager is the only person that can handle this. On April 5, 2018 I ordered envelopes and paper from envelopesexpress.com. I received an email today April 11, 2018 that my order had shipped BUT the paper was BackOrdered. I need the paper and cannot wait for it to arrive as I do not even know when it will arrive and this is the first time (6 days later) they made me aware it was not in stock. I went on their chat and messaged with ***a. I stated that I wanted to cancel the paper order. She said, " I just checked with the stock manager and he said that there will be a 25% restocking fee if you would like to move forward." I said how can there be a restocking fee if it's not even in stock? She said, " That is what my manager let me know. " I told her this is unacceptable and I was going to contact Revdex.com.
