Review: This is a follow up to the AETNA complaint I filed against [redacted] office two weeks ago. Recently, on Friday, August [redacted], I received a call from AETNA stating that they were aware that I was over billed and to call [redacted] office and ask them to send the correct billing information to the main lab.I immediately called [redacted] office and spoke with [redacted] the office manager. She claimed that she faxed the correct billing papers on the day that I took off of work and personally brought the bill to [redacted] office for review. I informed her that the insurance had not received my information, and since she was the person who incorrectly billed me in the first place, she should do her due diligence in correcting her mistake. [redacted] told me to call the lab and have them send the codes to the insurance company. I again informed her that I was the patient and had the tables been turned and I owed [redacted] money, I have no doubt she would file the necessary paperwork to get paid. [redacted] then rudely stated that she had done all that she could-a statement that is far from the truth-and then again told me to call the lab. At that point I asked [redacted] for the labs phone number since it was clear that she was lazy, incompetent, and unwilling to correct her blatant errors. [redacted] then refused to give me the labs number! I informed her that I was out of town on a personal matter and did not have the bill in front of me. [redacted] again stated, the [phone] number is on your bill. I am not sure if [redacted] does not adequately understand English, or if her lazy, incompetent and rude nature prohibited her from realizing that she had a copy of the bill and could have easily read the phone number to the lab, since I stated I did not have the Bill.At this point I became frustrated with [redacted]s (seemingly perpetual) ignorance and told her I would file a second complaint with both AETNA and the Revdex.com. [redacted] told me to go ahead, which was a clear indication that she does not care about her representation of [redacted] office, but also that [redacted] does not exercise sound judgment when hiring professionals to interact with his patients.Desired Settlement: To resolve this issue I would like:1.[redacted] to personally call me and let me know that my billing issue was corrected.2.I want the lab to receive the correct coding information-whether its sent by [redacted] lazy office manager of another staff member.3.I want no further communication with [redacted] as she already shown that she is not only incapable of correctly billing for a simple physical exam, but her unprofessional behavior and bad attitude go beyond my tolerance level.I have sent a copy of this letter to AETNA as well.
