Todd pulled a scam on us too. Sold us a car that was really just for the parts he needed. Took his money and left us with a pile a junk. Didn't return calls and all that. When confronted at his mom's house he got violent. The police already knew all about him when we reported it. He has a pretty long rap sheet.

So, I really like Todd. He is a nice guy. But it stops there. I can't begin to tell you the story (you would not believe it if I did) about the promises and let downs and broken appointments and mistakes and on and on. Todd is way in over his head. He will promise you everything and return on nothing. It took him MONTHS to get work done on my car. After it was done the job was absolutely terrible. I wish I would have known about this site before trusting him. That's the hard thing is you met him and he is a great guy...we had some great laughs...and I felt sorry for him through the entire process...but that is no way to do business. I would suggest everyone stay way clear of him...he will promise you a great deal...but the price will go up..or he won't deliver..or it won't get finished or your work will be less than average. Right now the car he did for me is not even finished...I was so fed up I didn't want him to work on it anymore...now I have a crap paint job and I have to finish the work. Unfortunately I already paid him. I will say he felt bad for a lot of it...but it's his promises that get him into trouble. Also, I initiated EVERY SINGLE CALL and TEXT. I had to seek him out to get any kind of updates. Also, he doesn't have a shop..he rents out space from other shops...and sometimes they give him the boot so the shop has priority. The problem lies in the fact that he will set an appointment and never show up or the shop is already using the space. This happened about 6 times in my case. Each time a promise was made...there were times he had my car 4-5 days and NOTHING happened. NOTHING. It just sat there waiting for the shop to let him use the space. I understand that is no fault of his own...other than working with a different shop or just not promising anything. I was looking back over our texting...I can't believe how many times he promised something would be done and it wasn't ... not kidding...about 20 times. As you can tell I am quite frustrated. I feel ripped off...and just sad that people would do business like this. Again, Todd is a nice guy...but this kind of business should be shut down.
Todd is my neighbor, I thought I could trust him. He showed me pictures of a Jetta but didn't realize none were of front end. I sold my jeep to buy his Jetta he promised it would be ready in one week. It's almost 4 months later he took $5,000 from me and no car he has a hundred excuses but now he is threatening me saying I did damage to his Chrysler while outside our complex and refuses to return deposit. He is a piece of work!
Oh my ... I feel for you Jennifer. I was just over at the house to pickup parts that were sitting on top of your JETTA...He did the same dog and pony show in painting my car. I ended up getting so frustrated that I didn't even want him to finish the job...after I paid him for it. I believe this is how he works. This can't be right. This guy needs to be shut down.
I recently was looking for a complete paint job on my Mercedes and found Todd Ogden's ad on Craigs List. He sounded seasoned in the auto body biz, and his estimate was reasonable. He is American and in his late 50's so I assumed he would be professional and do good work.
He quoted me $700 for metallic paint, then a few days later said there was more sanding than he thought, so it was now $900 but I had to help prep and sand the car... what? All other painters were busy in this price range, so I let him do the work which was promised to be completed in 3 days.... 7 days later the car was ready not 3. When the masking tape was removed, the paint pulled away in 2 spots by the door handles and side marker which made my heart sink, as the paint had plenty of time to dry. The clear coat also had runs in it!
He then said he would correct these issues, and 6 weeks later and many, many texts pushing him to correct these issues, with promises by Todd to fix the issues, have not been completed at all. His word means nothing, and he has the attention span of a teenager who can not follow through to create proper customer service nor be true professional. Disappointed and feeling ripped off!
He is a CROOK and a THIEF! I have a class action settlement against him from 2007. He should be in JAIL! T.O. PD is aware of him and so is the Ventura Cty Courthouse.

In that period of time he worked a total of 21 hours. Did terrible work, very unorganized. To be nice maybe he was too busy. He said he would bring the receipts over and we would talk on 5/1/2015.No call, no show. I call him he says Tuesday. 5/2/2015, I call and call and call. Nothing. When I finally get a message from him he says he doesn't owe me anything. BEWARE!!!!!I paid him a total of 2500.00.Desired Settlement: I will pay for the supplies that are here. I will pay for his hours and that is it!!! I have tried several times and I feel I cannot trust him.

Did you go to court? I'm going to but maybe we should all get our statements and I'll go to DA to prosecute for fraud, embezzlement, grand theft, breach of contract, and the tort intentional negligence and misrepresentation!
