O'Gorman's State Fair Service Reviews (3)

Review: I have a vehicle in great shape. The only problem was the check engine light going on and off when it wanted. I has to take it to emissions testing and twice it failed. Another shop recommend them to figure out the issues. That when I called Auto Analyzers who say that they are working with the DMV to help pass tests. I drop it off Wednesday evening and they call me Thursday to see what was the issue. I was told from the lady that answered said there was a free 99 dollar test that they preform that the state covers to figure out the issues. I would be responsible for paying for issues though. I said great and dropped it off. I was also told it would be 1 to 4 hours.

Not the case....

On Thursday morning I received a call that my truck did not pass emissions and I told them about the free tests I was told about. The worker [redacted] Told me that it would be no charge after I talked to him and said to call me with details. Called me in the afternoon and said he needed to do some repairs on the EGR Valve and system. I asked for a cost and he said about 200 and he would have a shop guy call me with the exact costs shortly. No call so I call back so they can start. I than was told it was 170ish but they couldn't do anything till Friday and no further testing till that part was fixed either. This now was 100ish on Thursday. I get a call Friday at 1130 telling my that my EGR valve part was missing a O ring on it. He said the part was about 30 more dollars. But it would be a while for the part.. And can't do any further testing... I ran to Oreily Auto Part store on 60th and Oklahoma to grab the tiny little band and drove it to the shop over my lunch break....

He called me than at 309pm telling me that the EGR thing was done but they were not going to be able to work on it any longer for the week. [redacted] said they only do regular emissions testing son Saturday. I said ok Call me Monday and keep me posted.

I received a call at 1102am on Monday March 14 2016 from [redacted] telling me that rest of the tests were done and they could preform a DINO test on my truck to ensure it passes today before it leaves the shop. I asked the cost, he told me an additional 99.00$. I said no it's okay I pick it up and drive it around a few days myself and take it in a different shop. He said ok. I told him I would be there at 530 to pick it up and pay for it.... He told me he was closing at 4pm because fellow employees were sick. I said put the spare key in the car and I'll pay over the phone. He said we don't except payment over the phones. I told him that I would AGAIN run on my lunch break to pay for it and pick it up later with my husband. So that's what I did..

At about 345pm Monday afternoon I received a phone call from [redacted] asking me if the gentleman that checked me out this afternoon told me my truck had passed emissions... I said NO. I was happy. I had said I would like something stating that it passed. He told me he would figure it out.

I didn't think much of it....

When I went to get the truck this evening, there was a folder and notebook on the passenger side seat of my truck. Not mine, my kids and or my husbands. Inside the folder was material from some seminar in Meqoun WI ( I googled it). Thought that was strange. Also noticed my truck was low on gas... I filled it up the day I dropped it off. Radio stations changed to stations I never listen too ( 105.3) Strange.... Than when I got home I decided to go on the DMV's website and Google to make sure the truck passed the emissions test. Sure it did this morning at 741am well before I was told it would be done and before [redacted] called to offer me MORE EXPENSIVE TESTS.Desired Settlement: How can I believe if anything was done to my car.. He lied or was mistaken about everything. I want my 179.52 back.

[redacted] brought in her vehicle and received a $99 dollar diagnosis at no charge due to her check engine lite being on. We diagnosed her problem as a defective egr valve seal. She went out to buy her own seal and we agreed to install her seal. With her authorization we performed her repair and with her further authorization performed dynamometer test to run her monitors so that she was guaranteed to pass emissions. All went as described and it passed. We also "SHOWED" her old part to her and her car passed. We do not return funds that are authorized for repairs done and completed successfully. We do apologize for having to close early due to illness with our employees and any inconvenience caused by that. Thank You, [redacted]

Review: I took my vehicle to this place to have an electrical and vehicle diagnostic test. My service engine light was on and I was having a problem with my climate control. I dropped my car off and was called the next day by a technician who said that the fuel pressure sensor was bad , and that the cost was $750, my initial response was to have him do it, but I called back to tell him that was ok and that I would have that problem taken care of as it was under warranty from a different repair shop. At that time he said he would check out my electrical issue and call me back. He did call back a short while later and stated that the problem had been fixed and that I could come pick up my vehicle. When I picked up my vehicle I noticed that I had know warranty applied to my receipt. The receptionist told me that there was know receipt given for this repair. I asked her why she said she didn't know and that they never get call backs and that the guy is good at what he does and that he's so good that the state picked him to do emissions testing repair. So I said to her that I needed some sort of warranty just in case I drove around the corner and the car problem reappeared, she said I would be fine and it wouldn't be a problem to bring it back. Well about a week later the problem reappeared and then went away. I called to bring it back and the guy who answered said to bring it back that Thursday or Friday , but unfortunately due to my work hours I was unable to. So this weekend May 3rd the problem came back and has been around since then. So I called Auto Analyzers this morning to see if I could set up a time to have my car checked out. when the guy answered I said that I was having a problem and he put me on hold for a minute or less while he checked out my invoice. He came back to the phone and said that no work was done and that's why I had no warranty I asked him if no work was done then how was it that my problem was fixed then and why then did my receipt state that lights and climate control are working at this time if problem reappears then reassembly cost are responsibility of customer, no warranty implied or given. And the receipt also states that the dash was disassembled move wiring and reassemble, that indicates to me work was done, he said no and that they would do it again at $90 an hour I explained to him that work was done and he said no that they accidentally touched some wires and the problem was fixed , he said the tech told him that and I said when you've been on the phone with me the entire time, he never responded, at that point I asked for a manager and he said he was, but when I called and asked to speak to a manager or supervisor he said they weren't around and maybe he could help , now he's the manager. I asked for the owner's name and # he offered me a email address with no name, and was down right rude the entire time. When I asked him his name he said [redacted] and before I hung up he said he would call [redacted] back to see what he would say about it all. After he told me nothing could be done and to see him in court if I wasn't satisfied. Maybe two minutes had passed and he called and said [redacted] said see them in court they weren't going to fix my car. I called back later to see if I could get someone else on the line, and I did a lady who gave me a name and a time which I could reach [redacted]. I had words with [redacted] again and he said they didn't want to work on my car so at that point I asked for a refund then and he then hung up on me after we exchanged words. He also told me that since calls aren't recorded he had no choice but to believe his people.Desired Settlement: I think they should clarify in the receipt what the issue and resolution is for repairs and communicate with the customer and all parties involved more thorough. Have a little respect for the customer. Not produce misleading receipts.

Der Sirs,

in response to this complaint, this customer came in for a DIAGNOSIS ONLY for a check engine lite, as stated on inv#[redacted] which will be faxed to you. Customer authorized a diagnosis and we proceeded to diagnose a fuel tank pressure sensor circuit problem and that the fuel tank would have to be removed to repair the problem and the customer said "he would bring it back another day for the repair. The customer further request us to look at an intermittent electrical problem with floor lites. We went ahead and did an inspection AT NO FURTHER CHARGE and determined there was a wiring problem in the dashboard when we moved a wiring harness the lites began to work properly and to moved ahead on the repair the dashboard had to come apart at further cost. The customer declined both repairs and told that the lites were working at this time but would act up again in the future until repaired and was no warranty because the repair was needed. NO REPAIRS were authorized or done to this vehicle. All this was communicated to the customer and stated on his invoice#[redacted] and now he wants his repairs done at no charge and used EXCESSIVELY foul language on the phone.

Response:

Company states that they only gave a diagnosis and not a repair on the vehicle as stated on receipt.

do not every take a Volvo to auto analyzers .they don't know how to replace a timing belt and ruined my engine while it was under warrantee from there store. he tried telling me it was not his fault, I threatened to sue then they agreed to rebuild my engine. IT TOOK 3 MONTHS AND I HAD NO CAR, I should have just sued. Now a year later and I took my car to the Volvo dealer and they say the timing belt was never put on correctly. DO NOT GO TO AUTO ANAYLZERS
