Oh My Japan Inc. Reviews (3)

I received a letter notifying me of a complaint against Oh My Japan, Incwith the ID of ***. I would like to respond as follows *** *** registered two accounts, which is a violation of our "one account" policy. Oh My Japan only allows members to register one
account because we limit the number of conversations that free members can start to per week; to start more conversations, members need to pay to upgrade their accounts The second account she registered was closed; the first account was left open. However, I then received an email from her that said her first account had been hacked, so I immediately closed that account as well. We close all accounts upon receiving a report that the account has been hacked; we do this for the safety of all members Oh My Japan itself has never been hacked, so when a member reports an account as "hacked," usually someone else in the person's home has gotten access to the member's email address. This sort of problem is not something Oh My Japan staff members can fix, so before re-opening the account, we must confirm with the member that he or she has re-secured the account in question For this reason, I then attempted to email her about why she thought her account was hacked The Oh My Japan website visitor logs show that she registered her first account year and months ago, and her second account weeks ago. Also, her first account was accessed from the same IP address as her second account weeks ago, so it appears that she or someone on the same computer network as her still had access to the original account This is why I requested an explanation about what she meant by her account being "hacked." Instead of answering, she attacked the website, stating in a January 13, email: "I see so many people dioberying the rules you just pick and choose whom to be on the site because you are nothing but a racist 50-year-old something man." Oh My Japan responds within hours to all reported rules violations; the same rules apply to all members. We have two basic rules listed at the bottom of the signup page: "Be honest" and "Be nice"; her comments clearly violate both the spirit and the letter of these rules, and so her account will remain closed *** Regards, *** *** Oh My Japan, Inc

I received a second letter notifying me of a complaint against Oh My Japan, Inc. with the ID of [redacted].  I would like to respond as follows.   [redacted]   Despite [redacted]s claims, she did open two accounts; as I stated in my previous message, "The Oh My Japan website visitor logs show that she registered her first account 1 year and 6 months ago, and her second account 2 weeks ago.  Also, her first account was accessed from the same IP address as her second account 2 weeks ago, so it appears that she or someone on the same computer network as her still had access to the original account."   She also claimed that I lied about her saying her account was hacked; however, her exact words were "my account was hacked."   //// Date: January 13, 2018 User: Anonymous (uid: not yet assigned) User agent Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.3; WOW64; Trident/7.0; Touch; rv:11.0) like Gecko IP address [redacted] Name [redacted] E-mail [redacted] Type of Inquiry Request to Re-open a Closed Account Message Hello, My account "[redacted]" has been closed. How do I reopen my account?  I was registered under "[redacted]" because my account was hacked and I opened up a new account under "[redacted]". I was suspendedfrom writing messages for a week. When I logged on to "[redacted]", my account is not closed. How can I reopen my account? [redacted] /// As noted, however, even though she said her account was "hacked," the account was still being used on Oh My Japan by either she herself or someone on her computer network (because the IP address was the same).   [redacted] also continues to claim that many members violate the rules of the site without punishment; she has no evidence for this and it is not the case.   I will not respond to further baseless accusations about the Oh My Japan website or company.   [redacted]   Regards, [redacted] Oh My Japan, Inc.

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me.

I am responding to the email:"[redacted]l registered two accounts, which is a violation of our "one account" policy.  Oh My Japan only allows members to register one account because we limit the number of conversations that free members can start to 2 per week; to start more conversations, members need to pay to upgrade their accounts" The reason why I had two accounts, was because my first email was not registered for some reason. I could not get a hold of my account at all! I have contacted him for help, but instead of helping me, he closed my accounts. So, there was something wrong with his database. Instead of fixing the problem, he blames the customer. That was very unprofessional and lacked high-quality customer service. In conclusion, it was not my fault. It wasn't my intent to violate anything, especially if the fist account was not working. "The second account she registered was closed; the first account was left open.  However, I then received an email from her that said her first account had been hacked, so I immediately closed that account as well.  We close all accounts upon receiving a report that the account has been hacked; we do this for the safety of all members".This is a lie. The first account was closed and he blocked me from sending messages. I registered with a second account because he refused to help solve the first issue. Technically, I did not violate because my first account did not work. He had SO MANY members on there that violated the "Do not use the account to cheat on spouse". He did not close their accounts but left them open. I believe, the owner is racist and just because they were Japanese, kept their accounts open to this day.   Oh My Japan itself has never been hacked, so when a member reports an account as "hacked," usually someone else in the person's home has gotten access to the member's email address.  This sort of problem is not something Oh My Japan staff members can fix, so before re-opening the account, we must confirm with the member that he or she has re-secured the account in question."I did not say Oh My Japan was hacked, I said my EMAIL WAS HACKED so he is lying right there. He has issues with his database which did not register my account at all. How could I go on the site when my first email was not working?!" For this reason, I then attempted to email her about why she thought her account was hacked."No, you did not read my email completely. I said my EMAIL was hacked, not my account. I said it was not working".  The Oh My Japan website visitor logs show that she registered her first account 1 year and 6 months ago, and her second account 2 weeks ago.  Also, her first account was accessed from the same IP address as her second account 2 weeks ago, so it appears that she or someone on the same computer network as her still had access to the original account."My first email was not registered correctly and I was unable to use it. I registered until another account because I lacked help on his part. What's the point of having customer service if you do not help customers?" This is why I requested an explanation about what she meant by her account being "hacked.""I had to keep explaining to you because you did not read or comprehend my email. I said my email was hacked, not my account so you did not read my email or my concerns".  "Instead of answering, she attacked the website, stating in a January 13, 2017 email: "I see so many people dioberying the rules you just pick and choose whom to be on the site because you are nothing but a racist 50-year-old something man."That's a lie. I have emails where I was very calm and he was very rude to me and did not address my problem. He told me this: "You call yourself a customer, but you never paid for a membership...Do you think small businesses can offer unlimited support for free when people break their rules?"Number one, I did NOT break the rules intentially. His database did not register my account and I could not log on. Instead of helping his customers solve the problem, he blamed me and accused me of breaking rules.  He is picking and choosing who goes on his site. I have seen SO MANY people disobey the rules and cheated on their wives/girl friends and their accounts were not removed. I have never been treated like this. I am a customer and there are plenty of people on there who do not pay. It's like, me going to the store, browsing around and leaving. Does that not make me a customer? Of course it does! He was very unprofessional. "Oh My Japan responds within 24 hours to all reported rules violations; the same rules apply to all members.  We have two basic rules listed at the bottom of the signup page: "Be honest" and "Be nice"; her comments clearly violate both the spirit and the letter of these rules, and so her account will remain closed".To be honest, I don't care anymore. Your database is not that great and I refuse to depend on a low-quality database to rule my life so you can keep it close. I meet Japanese people everyday easily, I was just on there for two friends. Your competitors are better and that is why your company will never grow. It's been years since your company launched and you still have not reached millions. It's funny you say be "honest" and "nice" when he doesn't have an honest of nice bone in his body especially from his emails. He was very rude to me in the emails and he lacks integrity because the members are not honest. I was nice to members and did not cause any problems. I would NEVER recommend anyone at your site and will be giving you a negative review on the Revdex.com. In fact, you not having a profile on the Revdex.com is suspicious".
