In august 2013, we signed a contract with JW Dunnwright Construction to replace our shingled roof with a metal one. They subcontracted Tom Jones Roofing which we now know to be Southern Siding to do the work. The job was agreed upon to take 4- 6 weeks. In October 2013, the work was still ongoing. There were many defects visible to the naked eye while water poured into our home with each rain event. A mold issue was increasingly becoming of great concern. The home inspector immediately called for work to cease due to unqualified workmanship. We retained an attorney. JW Dunnwright released Tom Jones and brought a second crew to complete the job. They were unable to fix the damage already done. Since that time, we have replaced the roof, remediated the mold issue, hired a contractor to replace all damaged wood siding and repaint. All done at our own cost. We have reports from metal roof expert, forensic engineering firm, home inspector, roofing contractor, and general contractor. We have also contended with being forced to pay JW Dunnwright's vendor for roofing materials because to our knowledge our deposit which we were under the assumption was to be used for this purpose was not. Today this debacle has still not been made right. JW Dunnwright is passing blame to Tom Jones Roofing and Tom Jones Roofing will not come forward. We can no longer be silent for fear of this happening to another unsuspecting consumer. Please quiz your general contractor to see if they're doing work themselves or subcontracting the labor. If subcontracting, please thoroughly check out to make sure the sub contractor is qualified to do specific work you require.

I contacted this company on 12/1/15 for a free estimate via their website for a bathroom renovation. Got no response. Submitted a 2nd request 12/3/15 and was contacted by one of their employees, he came by that evening & we discussed with him what we wanted to have done. He took measurements & listed everything we agreed on & said it would take him about a week to get the estimate together. 12/10/15 no estimate, 12/11/15 no estimate. contacted them on 12/16/15 to inquire about the estimate and was told it should be ready by the next day. 12/17/15 no estimate. contacted them again on 12/18/15 and received a response that this was "not a project they wanted to be involved with" I am very disappointed with my experience. I was given excuses as to why they couldn't perform the project, but no good reasons. All told, J.W. Dunnwright wasted 18 days of my time that could have been productively spent finding a qualified contractor to get the job done

Review: This correspondence is a formal complaint regarding the appalling service that was provided by Ohana Car Care service. Ohana has portrayed their business as a family oriented establishment who take pride in the work that they provide. When my eighteen year old daughter, who is a newly licensed driver, took our car for servicing and a diagnostic of needed repairs, the repairmen provided a detailed assessment of the suggested repairs. In speaking to him on the phone I informed him that I wanted to ensure that I had a list of the needed repairs so that I could get a smog check completed and take care of any additional repairs at a later time. I thanked him for his assistance and was confident that the appropriate car care was provided. However, the next morning when she drove the car to school a fire ignited under the hood causing the car to lose power leaving her stranded in the middle of the road. A good Samaritan assisted her in pushing the car into a parking lot and looked under the hood observing smoke and a fire. It should be noted there have been no previous issues or incidents with our car. When contacting Ohana they immediately became defensive and stated that they would not pay for the tow of the vehicle if it was found that they were not responsible for the damage to the vehicle. The car was towed to Ohana. After several hours we were contacted by Ohana and informed that they were not responsible for the issue with the vehicle, [redacted] (an employee) stated that they did not look under the hood of the vehicle therefore they were not responsible and further stated that it would be $360 for any further evaluation of the vehicle. When questioned regarding the process in which they conducted a diagnostic of the vehicle several discrepancies occurred; [redacted] stated they did not look under the hood of the vehicle, however several suggested repairs that were documented on the diagnostic required them to look under the vehicles hood. [redacted] stated that [redacted] was the employee who worked on the vehicle; however, RJ who is the owner of the business stated that he worked on the vehicle. Also, in a separate conversation on the date of the diagnostic [redacted] informed me that a pulley belt was going out, which is located by the engine. In observing under the hood of the vehicle a wire was seen loose and near the vehicles engine which caused the fire. The wire was not loose before the car was taking to Ohana, it is apparent that Ohana is responsible for the loosening of the wire that caused the fire. With the discrepancies that exist and the safety hazards that were caused by the incompetent service of Ohana I am requesting an investigation into the practice of this business and refund of the cost of damages to my vehicle.Desired Settlement: With the discrepancies that exist and the safety hazards that were caused by the incompetent service of Ohana I am requesting an investigation into the practice of this business and refund of the cost of damages to my vehicle.

Review: Ohana’s Car Care preformed the diagnostic test… 1. To whom it may concern on Jan 5th, 2016, I took my 2001 – [redacted] Camero for a diagnostic test, after the results come back I was told to replace the #5 fuel injector and my check eng light would go off, then I could pass smog… 2. I took my car to [redacted], and let them install one fuel injector for the #5 cylinder as stated I also asked them to perform a smog test, after the injector was installed, the cars check eng light stayed on, I didn’t solve the problem. I returned to Ohana’s Auto Care for a refund for a misdiagnosis, they wanted to do are diagnosis this time I was told, I had low air pressure # 5 cly they said I need a new eng but wouldn’t issue me a refund because they said “you took your car to another mechanic to have the fuel injector installed” I feel I owed 89.99 plus tax if due please help.Desired Settlement: They misdiagnosed my car, if Ohana’s Auto Care would have told me I needed a engine, I would not have spent $269.00 to have a fuel injector installed… Ohana’s was charging over $400.00 – to install the injector that’s why I went to another mechanic. Please note the last diagnostic preformed doesn’t specify need a fuel filter this time… why!!
